I couldn't find anything funny about the video, 'course I watched it after I watched and grew to love Firefly, so I guess I just don't like it when people make fun of the show I loved!

This was done for love of Firefly jossisgod, not a diss. It was made a few years back by fellow Winnipegger's and Joss his own self heard about it and backed it up. He even went on Whedonesque and commented and laughed about it. Look at it again and see it was done in reverence. Much like the spoof Hardware Wars when Star Wars #4 first came out.

I'm going to have to look, when I first heard about it they were in preproduction.

Just wondering if that Vancouver production has made their first show yet. Joss has been behind that too.

Nathan Town, the man behind the making of Mosquito, is a big Browncoat. I got to spend some time with he and his wife Sandra at Dragon*Con last year. Very nice people.

Sab, that has to be one of the funniest parodies of anything... ever! I especially liked "Son, sometimes the altar boys put up a hell of a struggle." I couldn't stop laughing for 2 minutes!

As I said in the comments under "Ambivalence", I kind of ran out of jokes for half the crew which would make any kind of followup rather tricky. I'd be worried that it would end up just not being funny.

Sorry to hear that you won't be there this year...they are adding a podcasting program track this year so I'm sure I could have gotten on at least one panel and worn my "Pinto Rocks" tee shirt in front of thousands, maybe hundreds, OK more like a few people to help 'pimp' your great work! :)
