Hi everyone, just joined this board today. Ive been a Firefly/Serenity fan since the film and I am very annoyed at Firefly being cancelled.

So I have trying to think of other ways to continue the story of the verse. Well this is an idea I came up with, its well a bit different to a TV series or a film but could work.

I was thinking that there could be a Firefly Audio book series, possibly filling in the gap between Firefly and Serenity.

Of course the cast would provide all the voiceovers for the characters and the stories would be written by Joss. Then all that would be needed would be sound effects to make the story complete.

This would allow the story to continue, and also be done in a budget friendly way. The "shows" could be distributed on Itunes, Napster, Audible etc as well as in boxed sets.

Do you reckon this could work?

Sounds like a shiny idea there. Obviously the Holy Grail is a return to either the small of large screen, but a win is a win no matter how you cut it, of course :)

If you haven't yet, check out the comic book min-series (IIRC there's a link to the amazon.com listing from the main page here.) Fills in some of the story between the series and movie, and written by Joss Himself no less.

And hey, looks like I'm also the first one to say howdy and welcome! ;p (Just spent a good amount of time trying to catch up with the sudden unflux of new 'coats coming out around here.) Anyways, welcome to our little Haven here, and keep the ideas comin'.
