Adam has requested that this get posted here and I'm honored to do the duty.

One year!
So much has happened in this year that it would be impossible for me to do justice to this amazing forum, and all those of you who have made it the unique and special place that it is, in a single post.

I would like to say that I am continually astounded by the kindness of people here, and the support and sense of community that just a few words on a computer screen can give to such a diverse and dispersed group of people in such a real-time way. "Even at the corner of 'no' and 'where,' you are rarely as alone as you think..." For that I thank you.

I would also like to say that the intelligence and thoughtfulness of Browncoats is something to be recognized and cherished.
Firefly is an experience which continues to help us all through our own full range of emotions. Hopefully we are all improved for having been here through good times and bad. It is important that we also appreciate Firefly for being so much more than a television show, and understanding that special things in our lives are as fragile as a porcelain doll.

I began my time here with a simple yet sincere message of thanks and appreciation for those of you who were taking valuable time out of your Fridays to allow us into your homes for a while. Little did I anticipate that this forum would become such an uplifting place for me to participate in, and an honor to help maintain.

Who would have thought that a cancelled TV show would still be generating so much interest and anticipation of the future?

Finally, I would like to add my heartfelt thanks and everlasting appreciation to Joss Whedon.
His vision brought a cast and crew together and created for us a home where, through hard work and Nathan's leadership and humor, we were empowered to trust each other, feel safe, and free to fly onward into the black.

As Joss reminds us all:

"Doing the impossible makes us mighty."

"How you get there is the worthier part."

"If I'm still flyin', it's enough."

And:

"There's good people in the 'verse. Not many, lord knows, but you only need a few."

Serenity,

A.B.
(one of the few)

That is all kinds of shiny. It's always cool when cast members turn up on Message Boards and the like.
