So, I was watching the episode "Safe" on disc 2 and I finally get the references I'm always seeing about "BDH" and "BDM". That is such a great line.

hehe.

There are some elaborations on that theme that I still don't understand yet.

This is the HOME of firefly 'in jokes'.

(you ever try the hangman thread? Man those people demand memorable, yet not obvious, yet not over-used quotes)

On the plus side, our wierd little subculture is starting to develop wierd subcultures of its own. I think that's pretty cool.

Hello fellow browncoats,

Might be dating myself here But I don't remember fandom about a movie like Firefly since I went to a comicbook convention ages ago.

There was a pretty big room where some movies were being played for crowds of ppl. I went in to watch one of the movies really not knowing anything of that particular movie at all.People were everywhere, lining the walls, sitting in chairs and on the floor.

The movie began and the whole crowd started saying all the lines and singing all the songs right along with the show. I was dumbfounded. They didn't miss a beat. The movie was "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" can you guys believe that?

Anyway this Firefly movie worship feels almost the same as that at the time.Maybe even moreso.I'm seeing that and its good.

So does this mean that several years from now at least one regional theatre within driving distance everywhere, will be playing the stage version, and even thirty years later people will be dressing up and dragging their kids along to go see it, saying the lines along with the actors and throwing strawberries and catalyzers onto the stage at the appropriate moments?

cool.

SERYN, that wold be a sizable YES

only with Firefly I'm looking to have a season 2,3,4 and 5 to be singing the "Jayne" song along to also while quoting all the new dialog

And another good thing as you've mentioned "dressing up and dragging your kids" not dressing your kids up in drag lol
