Cool! I'll be watching that.

Also, something interesting I found in that same site - it's Brad Wright, executive producer of SG-1, talking about the show.

Quote:

If SG-1 had started out on a broadcast network as opposed to Showtime, I think we would have been canceled after six episodes," he said. "Honestly."

Doesn't that just strike a chord?

What happened? He see your face?

YAY! TV ogling for me ( in a non-perverse way, I swear)

and soon... SG-1 will have a conglomerate of all Sc-fi show characters ever. I can see Nimoy and Marc Singer (from V) up there next.

Heh I watched the first 6 episodes on Showtime when they aired. Quite honestly I would say that I would have to agree. Though I say that because I think that the first few SG-1 episodes weren't really that great. It wasn't that they worked out the kinks with the show that it really started to become interesting.

Firefly however had me hooked from the first DVD I popped into the player (the pilot episode). SG-1 was an ok show with promise given a good time slot. Firefly was a great show with great promise, that was given crappy time slots and never given the chance to make it. If Showtime had adopted Firefly; I think everyone here would agree, that Joss and crew would be making some lucky network millions and rivaling SG-1 in terms of popularity and fanbase.

But anywho back to the subject at hand. Great news to be seeing Moreana back on the little screen. To bad though she'll be playing a 'bad guy.' Maybe the writers will write a sort of revelation for her and turn her into a good guy to help fight of the Ori. Maybe become a permanent member of SG1 wouldn't that be awsome

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Shiny! Morena will be a recurring role on SG 1! I already watch SG 1 & like it, this will just be icing on the cake. And what lovely icing indeed! Did I mention Morena is beautiful?

Sounds like she will be playing a bad guy, or is that just me? That will be a new route for her. Can't wait to see it.

fantastic news!

Normally I'd avoid spoilers like the plague, but with this, I just had to see what role she'd be playing.

I can't wait (even though, I didn't like season 9 as much as previosu years)

Rumor on the net has it that Richard Dean Anderson will be returning in the 10th season. There is some disagreement on how often or to what extent.

For me, it wasn't that I missed Jack, I just felt the stories weren't as good.

I don't think much to the Ori as villains, and the thing that made the first few episodes work was, without a doubt, Vala. Her banter with Daniel was fantastic. I can't wait for next year mainly because she'll be a regular.
Plus I'm a fan of farscape so I was glad to see Ben Browder and Claudia Black together again.

On the whole though, there were too many average episodes and not enough good ones IMO

Quite honestly I did miss RDA's character, Jack O'Neill. He had the best one liners, and his banter w/ the other members of the team kept me laughing.

I do agree w/ you though that the storylines seemed to get pretty thin when RDA left. They got a bit better w/ Ben & Claudia coming aboard, and I agree w/ you again that Vala's interactions w/ the team & primarily Daniel were funny and had that old SG 1 feel to them.

I can't wait to see Claudia back as a regular. I actually missed her recently.

I can understand that - I felt that RDA had the best lines, and his cluelessness (if thats a real word) was often the source of much humour.
But still, I didn't feel "Aww I want Jack back!"
I don't know what it is, but none of the characters strike me as ones I can't live without. Don't know why. I like all the characters (though Carter's technobabble is a bit much) but when Daniel left, I didn't think "Bring back Daniel!". Maybe it was because the characters/actors had been there for a while, and I didn't think "What a waste, there was so much left to explore".
On the other hand, when Jonas left, I did think that.
He certainly was mistreated as a character - as soon as Daniel returned, he was booted.
Couldn't they have least found room for him on Atlantis?
Having said that, the episodes when Daniel did show up in season 6 were highlights.
I don't know. I'm such a contradiction.

Let's just say I don't miss them, but I like it when they return.

Wow, I've rambled.
