'Firefly' reaches 'Down Under'

I just wanted to post to say wow! I'm an Australian fan of Joss Whedon, ever since the original Buffy movie. And I just recently received my copy of the 'Firefly' dvds pre-ordered from Canada, so it was the first time I'd actually got to see the show (as it hasn't and probably won't ever be broadcast here, unless the cricket gets rained out.) I bought the series based on Whedon's previous work, and I haven't been disappointed, I think it's the best work he has ever done and I'm horrified that Fox dumped it so soon. I have literally just finished a marathon stretch watching the series from beginning to end (only stopping to sleep... I think I may need a shower now though!) I hope Joss pushes the film because I feel it really could breathe life back into 'Firefly', unless Universal are fools and don't see the potential of this terrific series... It was a really weird experience watching the show and falling in love with the characters knowing all the time that they don't get to finish their stories.

I got all exited when I read that title as I thought it was finally coming to tv here in OZ

I actually have the dvds and I got all the eps off the net when it first aired but I would love for it to be on tv here so others could see just how incredibly great this show was.

Apparantly a channel 7 exec said at a convention earlier this year that the show would be on by December. Time is running out though.
