Has anyone contacted Equality Now to let them know what's going on? I was just at their website, and didn't see anything about. Coulda missed it though. Seems like they'd really want to help plug this.

ohh each of the cities has contacted them. I exchanged emails with them great people! They sent me a letter saying they authorise me and the local browncots to raise money for them and the sent a form(or supposed to... cant find it!) for tax purposes. So if you also get sponsors... ythe donations they make is tax deductable...I think... in canada, not sure about the US.

It's unclear to me just to what extend EN does or does not help promote events they are not responsible for. They've known about the entire thing for some time now (one of them commented on WHEDONesque about it at one point), but I assume that different organizations have different policies regarding how much they tie themselves to fundraising being done for them by third parties without the direct involvement of the organization itself.
