It was a real nice party, up until the punching, and the thread-jacking. :)

Yeah, I just came back on, too, and Wow! I sure wish there was an ignore button available for certain people. Too bad we got his attention during his "crazy time". Ah, well, there's at least one on every board.

yes, thanks Tristan... i enjoyed the discussion - up to a point....
I think the thread has taken on a life of its own and will be floating around for a while....

and i would like to add my appreciation to everyone who expressed their honest and stimulating opinions....

oh, and one last thought... does anyone believe in the existence of a "soul mate" ? or is that an old fashinoned notion that exists only in the fantasy world...

Please Support EQUALITY NOW, thank you...

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Well, we tried to stonewall, but thread-jackers just won't be stopped. Should we start another thread and try again or should we wait? Or just try to continue on this thread?

At least he seems to be gone for the moment.
I guess I shouldn't have encouraged him, but I couldn't let what he was saying slide. I got all used to folks here being reasonable... Well, most of y'all are.
I'm tired. I'll be in my bunk.

Ok, in an attempt to continue the wonderfullness that was started by Tristan and enjoyed by many more I will ignore the bad man and post my answers:

Physical attraction? I notice his/her butt if they're walking away from me. If they are walking toward me, eyes and smile.

What keeps me interested? Intelligence!! I must be able to converse with them on wide and varying subjects.

Flirting is brilliant, once you achieve a level of comfortableness within yourself. If you're in the least insecure it can be dangerous.

Size does matter. Sorry guess, but if you're too small it just don't feel as good. But... there are ways to compensate! Position is everything.

I'm sure I missed something.

Nevermind....

Phoenixrose,

I'm glad to see that you did start something with Chris. He was way out of line with most of the things he was saying.

I too am sorry that this fun thread was posted and then eventually ran into the ground by a certain individual who will hopefully not jump into anymore of our fun threads.

Hopefully I will see you all on Tristans other thread.

Simon: What if he(Mal) tells you to kill me.
Zoe: (without hesitation) I kill you.

1st Para: Wow, where were the girls like you when I was going thru high school and college. Anyway us geeks had a hard enough time socializing as it was. Just because we may have had brainpans doesn't mean we knew how to use them when it came to meeting women. This was my biggest problem. I could talk to anyone about most subjects if they would have taken the time to want to get to know me. But when it came to approaching and talking to women my 160 i.q. dried up and I probably was borderline idiot. Don't know what it was about a pretty smile and beautiful eyes that would sink my throat into my stomach. Most times when I did actually succeed in talking to a girl it was the "you're a really nice guy....I like talking to you....It's so nice that I have a friend like you I can turn to....You know Tom right? What's he really like....Did you get this answer on question #6? Such is the fate with most smart guys. But it could also be that because I was such an idiot when I met girls I just didn't recognize the subtle signs that may have been shown to me.

2nd Para: That is a problem that I had to deal within myself. In some of my earlier relationships, I really did get impatient at times and bored when I realized that we couldn't meet on the same intellectual plateau. Luckily for me I learned to realize the problem I had after several failed relationships and was able to amend my mistakes. After that everything seemed to roll my way when it came to women esp. after I loosened up a little when a little female bird told me that the reason I don't get laid more often is because I really was "too nice a guy". Once I became a bit of an @hole "a brave new world" opened before my eyes and pants.

EmmaRigby wrote: The problem came when he became short tempered and impatient with me when I couldn't keep up. Because I wasn't as instantly articulate as him and occasionally had trouble expressing my thoughts in presicely correct terms he would tend to dismiss whatever I said! Very frustrating and horribly bad for the ego! So a little warning, develop your patience skills. It'll get you more sex for longer!

Wow...lts of ground covered before the land mines.

1.) What do I notice on a guy? Physically: eyes and voice. Intellectually: fun and intelligent without being condescending.

2.) Hey, wadda know...the elbow to hand thing works for me.

3.) Sensitive nipples. As an owner of a larger set, my nipple sensitivity actually varys throught the month from 'not very' to 'if you even look at them crosseyed, prepare to die.' This is due to the 'hormone fairy.' The closer the cycle is to showing up, the more sensitive. BTW--that the larger cups in bras tend not to be padded? Think again. I've actually seen more padded cups for larger sizes than smaller ones.

4.) Make-up. Used to wear it in my 20's. Gave it up as all it did was make me break out and then need to wear even more of the horrid stuff. these days, on rare ocassions, its lipstick and eye shadow when I must. (The last 2 times I've done so in the past 6 months was for funerals.)

5.) Bad boys? No boy here good, bad or indifferent. Frankly, I hate having emotional roller coasters. I want stable! I want nice.

6.)Flirting. I kinda gave up awhile back so unless the guy is real obvious, I just don't notice anymore. There is one exception. theres a gentleman I've known for a few decades who. We flirt, without meaning anything, when ever we run into each other, but neither of us means anything other than we appreciate each other.

7.) Clothes. Any form fitting clothes I have is comfortable. I gave up hurting for fashion when I ditched the make-up.

I think there was more, but my brain isn't coperating on remembering right now.

1. What I notice in a guy-general proportions and if he takes care of himself-no rotten teeth LOL, clean clothes etc. Then I notice specific body parts-shoulders, chest, thighs, and believe it or not hands.

Then comes the intellect. Can't abide a stupid person.

I'm a bit of a female Simon-smart and always think I'm putting my foot in my mouth so I keep it shut a lot and listen but for some strange reason I'm attracted to Mal types.

The guy I've been seeing off and on for 5 years (ccan I call him a BF at my age?)is very intelligent, a bit moody sometimes, is very gregarious and is very protective yet still a bit of a bad boy in certain areas. And a great pilot so I guess I've got certain aspects of Jayne, Mal and Wash all in one.

2. Never took the time to notice. My mind was focused on other things at the time.

3. Agree readily about the "hormone fairy". Just depends on the time of the month.

4. Makeup- I wear very little. Just some bronzer and a little blush with some eye shadow. I'll wear lipstick occasionally. Lots of makeup just masks the beginning of the smile lines and makes them much bigger.

5. Bad boys Thought I had a nice one until I got dumped after 13 years of marriage for some one that he was seeing behind my back.

My friend likes to try to shock me but I've gotten used to it and is definately more adventerous than I was used to, so I guess a certain amount of "badness" spices things up.

6. Flirting- My desk at work is in the lobby-lots of friendly banter close to flirting going on all the time. Only rarely does it cross the line.

7. Clothes- I go for comfort too but have to "dress professionally" at work. It's sensible skirts near the knee or pantsuits as I'm constantly walking around and occasionally picking up stuff in full view of both staff and customers. Can't wear heels taller than about an inch or my feet object.
At home it's comfortable, jeans, not too short shorts (it's over 100 heat index here in the summer)and t-shirts, sweatshirts and running shoes

One day.
One plan.
One army of Browncoats.

On June 23rd, we aim to misbehave.

RIMGIRL

The single biggest problem that girls have is our fascination with "the bad boy". I don't know where it comes from, maybe popular culture through the centuries, Lancelot and Robin Hood and such. But fortunately most of us outgrow it.

An article I read once said, "If you can't tell if he's a bad boy, take him home to Dad." It then told about a woman taking her boyfriend home. After a pleasant evening, Dad took her into his study and said, "Date this man. Even move in with him if you want. But if you ever come here and say that you're going to marry him, I will kill him."

I'm married to a nice, funny guy and couldn't be happier.
