If you're donating a DVD on June 23, where is it going?

Got some ideas for donating DVD's here if you wanna on June 23?

Mine are going to Iraq. I contacted Sean Dustman, a Navy corpsman in Iraq that runs www.docinthebox.blogspot.com and he kindly accepted the donation. I was reading his blog last week and discovered that he's started a little library for his unit during his spare time and was asking for some SciFi books for the guys.

I asked him if he would like a copy of Firefly and Serenity and discovered both he and his wife are Browncoats and he forgot his copies for this trip.

So mine will be going to Iraq and hopefully we'll have some conversions, if not at least some of the troops will be entertained for a while.

One day.
One plan.
One army of Browncoats.

On June 23rd, we aim to misbehave.

yeah, I think whenever you send DVDs to the troops they end up in a library shared by all...

I'm buying some copies of both Firefly and Serenity and donating them to:

(just looking for those who want DVDs)

SAMEERTIA

My copies are going to the media libraries at two different hospitals with long term cancer-care facilites.
Maybe our BDH's can strengthen someone's determination to fight their illness.

I plan on buying some of the Serenity HD DVDs along with the series DVDs and donating them in pairs to local libraries. The thinking is that there aren't that many HD titles on the library shelves yet so anyone wanting to see what their new HD sets can do will have fewer options/distractions, making Serenity a popular choice (and scifi and HD are a great match). If they pick the Serenity HD and want to see more of the 'verse the series will be there too.

Scifi movie music + Firefly dialogue clips, 24 hours a day - http://www.scifiradio.com
