Hey guys - sorry, bit of a girly thread here.

I vote the peach silk dress and kimono she wears at the start of Heart of Gold - simple but lovely.

But am willing to be persuaded otherwise....

I like the one she's "wearing" in the sponge bath scene!

I love that gorgous white ball gown that she wore in "Shindig". That and the dress with the black see-through sleeves and it was blue in the front and red skirt. It looked silky. I forgot the name of the ep that she wore it in.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I like the one from the begining of the Train Job; she also wears it in War Stories. It might just be a robe of some kind, actually, because she hasn't worn it off the ship. It's flowing and elegant and has gold-tone flowers overlaying red and I really love it. I also like the one from Jaynestown when she first arrives.

The one in early Jaynestown when Kaylee says "Have good sex" to her, tied in first place with the one in the start of Ariel.

I'm a fan of the thin layer of sweat shes wearing the first time we see her in the pilot... But seriously, the dark colored one she wears on Miranda.

Not really a girly-thread...can male costumers jump in? If so, my vote is going to have to be the dress she wore for Shindig. Absolutely gorgeous, and a perfect compliment to her skin tone and how she wore her hair.
Just a male's opinion

Holding until you get back, Captain.

I loved hearing on the extras that that dress was actually the wedding dress of one of the costumers and that it didn't fit Morena, the zip wouldn't do up and so some rapid alterations were called for. That's why it was all open backed! I agree, it looked fabulous. I think that Morena has said that that was one of her favorites too!

And here I thought I had seen all the extras...where did you see this one, Emma?
The attraction to me was the open back...some men are breast men, some are other regions, I am a back man (not quite like Wash, I mean the upper back). It wasn't until seeing her in that dress that I really started paying attention to Inara...before that, she was not all that attractive to me. Does that seem right to you?

Holding until you get back, Captain.

It's on the commentary for Shindig by Executive Producer Jane Espenson, Morena Baccarin and Costume Designer Shawna Trpcic. Great fun! A real girly gab fest!

This raises an interesting point, are the US extras different to the UK ones?

I like the white dress too but i really liked the outift she's wearing when she first sees the Operative. Can't remember the details, but I remember that I liked it a lot!

Honestly, though, she would look good in anything...

Mine is an evil sugar high laugh! Bwahahahaha!

I like the one in Trash when she's holding YoSaffBridge at gunpoint. Or the one she wears on Miranda.

Wow, now this is hard.

I think my very favorite is the one she wears in trash/OoG flashback. It is just plain cool. But honorable mentions include the one from the end of OMR/2nd Shindig dress (so strange, but so cool), the red one from the beginning of Shindig, and the beginning of Jaynestown dress.

My least favorites are the black/floral one from The Train Job that is seen in so many for the promo pictures (it is just unattractive to me) and the yellow-gold dress from the Message (too elaborate).
