The official release date is tomorrow but shipments are arriving and people are talking. The Firefly collectible card set from Inkworks looks NICE.

I think, anyway. Just posted a breakdown at http://www.serenitystuff.com/2006/05/16/firefly-trading-cards but the upshot is that there are cards for each main character and a few minor ones, three cards for each episode (plot, quotes, credits), cards for the ships of the 'verse, and the assorted chase foil cards, loader cards, and autograph cards.

The color scheme is the show all over, the pictures chosen are decent, and the comments on the backs were clearly written by a fan.

Sigh. Good thing I wasn't going to buy anything else this month...

Update: two of the autograph cards, Nathan and Jonathan, were unavailable at press time and have been included as redemption cards instead. Inkworks announce today that the Nathan cards are in and the Jonathan cards are due soon.
