$10 Price Increase on Amazon for Firefly Series

I was wondering if anybody else noticed the $10 price increase at Amazon? That is BAD news for the June 23 buying campaign. I bet Amazon heard about our plans :) Does anybody else think that the producers of the DVD are getting wise to the fact that it is so popular? On the downside, our Amazon rating has taken a big hit. Down to # 28 or so on the average from being in the top 10 every day. Sad...now fewer people will get to experience serenity...

Walmart.com still has it for $24.74...ordered mine about a week ago. Not my favorite place to shop, but gentler on the wallet. I was going to wait until the 23rd, but once I saw Amazon and Target raise the price, I figured WMart would follow suit.

The good news, I guess, is that the Serenity DVD has decreased in price from $19.98 to $12.99, I believe, and Joss & Co. have said many times that it is the sales of the Serenity DVD that determines whether we will get any sequels. I'm all for buying the FF set (I just bought another one myself for somebody) I think we really gotta focus on the Serenity DVD if we want more BDM's.

Here in Germany, the Firefly DVD boxes have always been a steady 50 Euros - that's more than 60 bucks.
I kid you not. And Firefly has NEVER been aired on German TV, nor does it look like it will be in the near future.
Anyways, that's why I only got one German DVD box (gave my first one away as a gift, but needed another one for my non-english-speaking friends) and 2 UK boxes (one of themsigned by Joss, Nathan and Summer - or at least the auction says so. Hasn't arrived yet).

We're after Serenity on Serenity Day, not Firefly, anyways. Maybe Fox just noticed the box is selling well, and went hey, why not sell it for more? I'd be much more concerned if the price would have gone down drastically.
