Since early January, Browncoats have been organizing same-day, worldwide screenings of Serenity to be held on June 22, 23, and 24, all to benefit Joss' favorite charity -- an event therefore dubbed Serenity Now/Equality Now.

Guess I could say "We will do the impossible..." but that's not what Mal says in the pilot.

I just really love that line. And be "we" I certainly refer to the collective 39+ cities doing charity screenings. Because once dollar amounts, attendance numbers, media coverage... everything is tallied, it will be a truly amazing thing. And I feel mighty just being a part of it

As for the venue, our official sponsor suggested a larger theater, so if they're footing the bill, we're gonna try to work something out

You may need to tell them firm numbers are impossible to come by, since this isn't just renting out a space for a private club event or something. Until it's announced and promoted, there's no way to know.

Is anyone trying to go to more than one screening? Up here in Canada, Montreal is having a screening on Thursday night and Toronto is having the screening on Saturday afternoon, so that one would be easy.

How about the Fort Collins/Denver screenings? Same time, or could someone attend both?

They are at exactly the same time; 8:00 on June 23rd. I would have been on cloud 9 if they were at different times!
I'm helping promote the Fort Collins screening, now (hopefully). And I bought tickets, so my dad will just have to use my Denver ones
