Greetings Everybody from a newbie

I've just gotta say, Step aside H5N1, Firefly/Serenity has completely overpowered me like nothing before.

I rented Serenity and then Firefly for the first time not 1 month ago, and I'm now on my fifth viewing of the BDS and around ten for the BDM. Related purchases are arriving regularly (DVD's,soundtracks,books,...). Evenings are consumed trawling the forums for any fix and days listening to the soundtracks and podcasts.

I have even been compelled to spread the disease. I have one convert so far. When he came back a couple of days after I lent him my copies complaining of not being able to put it down, all I could think was, "Har har har! Mine is an Evil Laugh".
God's Balls! Somebody Help Me!!! I was normal just four weeks ago and now I have to bite my tongue to stop saying 'shiney' or 'gorram' at work!

I've got to ask you old-timers,

1) how common is this complete and rapid addiction? From lurking the forums, I think I may not be alone.

2) Is there any hope of a cure (beside a BDS II)?

3) When do you guys think I'll be able stop watching the BDS every bloody weekend! My wife is giving me strange looks. Are there "Browncoats Widows" help groups?

I cannot believe that I missed this for so long but I'm grateful to have discovered it finally and that you browncoats out there have kept it alive this long to fill the void somewhat.

I honestly don't believe that a better collection of actors & writers has been ever assembled in one place and for every one of them to hit the groud running so perfectly from the first minute is astounding.

Why have FOX not been hauled in front of the international criminal court for being such jerks.

Anyways, gotta go now and catch some "BDAnything"

1) Think Browncoats are being counted in the tens of thousands these days. Theres alot of "infected" out there.

2)There is no hope for a cure since most Browncoats dont want to be cured, and the "infection" is spreading to fast.

3)Eventually you might be able to let the Series rest for a weekend, but I doubt youll ever let it rest for long.

I wonder howcome so many people have used the disease analogy when talking about us and the BDS
