This, whoever it is, has been throwing insults around the site. Now, I don't know if it's possible to just delete his posts rather than sending perfectly good threads to troll country, but if you can, I would appreciate it. And also, if possible, blocking would be shiny. Quickly, please.

Vera was actually written into Serenity's final confrontation, not sure why she didn't make an appearance. Maybe they couldn't find the prop? Or thought a bigger-ass gun would be, uh, more big-ass? I dunno.

ah read her:

Quote:

IMDB: According to Adam Baldwin, the mini-gun his character Jayne uses at the end of the film is nicknamed "Lux," after the message board handle (LuxLucre) of devoted fan Kerry Pearson. Pearson, who died of complications from diabetes, was best known for creating fan art that featured the characters from "Firefly" in a "South Park" cartoon style.

Thought you should know...

oh, and TROLLS ARE BAD!!!!

EDIT. and:

Quote:

IMDB: Zoe, Mal, and Jayne's guns from Firefly are in a private collection so it became necessary for everyone to have new weapons for the film. The only weapon carried over from the series is Jayne's bowie knife.

Oh. Shiny. Very shiny...
I like that they appreciate the fans enough to name a gun after one (aawwwwwwww...) and it makes sense about the guns. I know someone said that Mal's movie gun differed from that in the series.
Private collection, huh? Lucky.

Karel! I am ont going to say you stole my idea, 'cause it's been around for about 1,000 years, but where did you get the troll-flinger!
Quick backstory so you don't tear me a new one for my accusation:
In a previous thread, I brought up the word "trebuchet" ('bout a month ago), and it eventually warped into "troll-buchet"...and it turns out that I will be building a foot-high trebuchet for DragonCon.
Saw they troll-flinger and got envious...that's what I need to build!

Alright, sorry, I am done now...I will go back to admiring the troll-flinger.

Wow.

Flying on duct tape and a damaged registry.

Tristan--

The trebucet was originally intended to return snowball fire at our lovely snowball-slinging mai. Then one day we were visited by an unsavory troll-type in The Juggled Gosling Chatroom and I thought to adapt the trebuchet concept to launching large objects (grand pianos, etc.) at the troll. Then, Jadehand thought to use the trebuchet to fling the troll itself. (^5, brother Jadehand!)

My wife, MalsWay, had a functioning desktop trebuchet that she had got for Christmas; so, soon thereafter, we composed a picture of it, and added the text. "Troll Flinger" was born. To this Jadehand added two of his chatroom smilies to the equasion -- a troll, and an incoming smilie that splats against a window. The debut was glorious. An added bonus is that it has actually has worked removing trolls! Registering a target and the rate of fire is rediculously slow; however, as we like to say, "It just takes one."

Anyway, looks like we arrived at the same solution independantly (^5!). We got the desktop trebuchet at www.trebuchet.com. Much assembly required, but it works pretty well. Ours is a "90-penny" free weight jobbie.

BTW -- "Troll-buchet"? SNORT! LOL!

Very best regards,
--Karel.
