Calling all Firefly fans in Washington State or Oregon. I'm preparing a roster of we, the Great Northwest fans, in hopes of putting together a web-site for us to find one another and maybe set up a mini-convention for us. Activities like small or large parties, RPG's, sci-fi premiere movie screenings, just about any outings...seems to me they'd all be so much the better for being done with a bunch of local browncoats.

I'm ItsaWash, aka Linda, and I live in Olympia, Washington. Post me a comment here if you're a Firefly fan in Washington State or Oregon, and leave me your E-MAIL ADDRESS and your city or state if you'd like to be counted among our number. Thanks mucho. Four-foot-hair@hotmail.com. On YIM or AIM I'm Fourfoothair01. Hope to hear from you!

My sister lives in Olympia, Washington and is a fan of firefly. I'm not sure if she posts on any browncoat boards, but I'll pass this thread on to her.

I'm in Portland, OR and I'm very interested in this. I'll go pimp this link to other communities and help garner more interest.

Also, if anyone's interested in partying with the Portland/Vancouver area Browncoats, we have a website and yahoo group.

Portland rules.
I'm actually paranoid there won't be enough tickets
available for the Cinema21 showing. Bless the BiX
for setting it up but I'm worried.

Seattle here, we actually have a thriving community of browncoats, mostly post on Gossi's board (serenitymovie.org). Under shindigs, Big Damn Seattle thread. We have a shindig coming up the 17th of June, more info to be posted there as it gets closer. Just a potluck and maybe some episodes of firefly.
We do indeed have a Serenity screening scheduled June 24th, if Portland sells out come on up. Its a 450 seat theater here.
We have a little website for shindigs, but haven't been doing much, but summer is our time!
A second website is not amiss, the more the merrier

Heh, don't bless ME for Portland's screeing. All I did was be smart enough to realize I needed to hand it off to someone who would get it done. ;)

Thank ya Malachite! And thank ya to all you Browncoats out there for the shiny info. Nope, I didn't know about the Portland or Seattle group. My web-weaseling skills are a bit lacking, it appears, but thank buddha for y'all who aren't letting the signal be stopped. Serenity/Independence day is comin' up way soon, so we'll have to get going, join up en masse and party hard. The screenings y'all have set up are the Way, I'm thinking. Wouldn't mind putting together a party or two as well, but that doesn't have to be in June. Anybody ever been to a Tarts & Vicars shindig? I'm thinking that'd be excellent. All ideas are welcome.

Hey Jasinee and Guest! Thanks for chiming in. Will keep y'all posted as the group grows, and will e-mail anybody who provides an e-mail addy about developments as they arise.

For the month of June, looks like our kind will be best served by traveling to Portland, OR or Seattle, WA to attend a screening of Serenity at a movie theater for Serenity/Independence Day. Stay tuned, and thankee for making your presence known, one and all!

Hi ItsAWash/Linda,
Several friends in Oly,Wa are Browncoats and are coming up to Seattle for the BDM Serenity Now showing on June 24th so I hope you can join us!
There is also a new Yahoo group-SeattleBrowncoats- here's the link http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/SeattleBrowncoats/
and another site on Meetup.com - http://firefly.meetup.com/55/
One of my other groups for Lord of the Rings also has some Firefly fans tossed into the mix. Can't stop the signal.
Glad to see more Browncoats are roaming the PNW! We've got an army developing up here.
