I am a relatively new member to the ‘verse. I, unfortunately, missed Firefly when it first aired. In fact, my first exposure to the ‘verse was the Serenity movie trailer. I remember seeing it and thinking that it looked like good movie.

Fast forward to about a month ago and I saw Serenity at the store and picked it up. Watched it and loved it. It was the DVD extras that gave me first exposure to Firefly. Up to that point I didn’t realize that the movie was based off a series! I was then on the internet ordering my DVD collection of the Firefly series.

I’ve finally watched all the episodes and loved them. It really bums me out that there will likely not be anymore films/episodes to watch. The show just had so much potential!

It’s great to see the ‘verse living on still through fan sites!

We're glad you found us! Welcome home.

Everyone it seems falls in love with the 'verse, how can they help themselves! We all feel the same way that you do, it's a strange mix of joy and melancholy.

Although, there are some shiny things planned for the summer which we believe might make some difference in getting more. Check out the Browncoat Event Forum for a list of cons you can go to, events that are planned, shindigs you can attend and some major campaigns that you can take part in.

Coming up June 23rd there will be screenings of Serenity for charity, there are a lot of cities and towns taking part in this now.. check out the full list at www.cantstoptheserenity.com. Also on that day.. but unrelated to the screenings, there will be a mass buying of Serenity by Browncoats in an effort to promote the movie. If you already own a copy and would like to buy one on that day.. you can donate it to the library of your choice, check out this campaign's website at www.serenityday.org.
Here at FFF.net we are planning a whole Summer of Serenity that will kick off the day of the mass buying.. we are having many campaigns that people can get involved with and the Browncoat Event Forum will be the place to see what's up. On September 30th, the anniversay of the release of Serenity, we're calling it the Serenity 'Versary, we're having the biggest celebration of all with much to do and enjoy by fans. I hope you'll take part in some or all of the stuff we're doing.

I don't believe we've seen the last of the 'verse, we still have a chance for a BDSequel and maybe one more.. then the return of the series.

We're holdin' here til Mal gets back.

Yep, look like we still have plenty left in the galley. If you'd like some strawberries, mangos, or iceplanets, they're all set. We've had to make a new batch of wife soup; it should be ready soon. There's also very fresh wine and some nice tea, if you're thirsty.
