Howdy folks!

We're very excited his year that the Serenity Role Playing Game is up for an Origins Award -- which is the hobby game industry's equivalent of the Academy Awards. In fact, we have our own Academy -- the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts & Design. It's a peer award voted on by Academy members, and I'll let you know the results after the 4th of July.

However, there is another shiny side to the Origins Awards -- the Gamer's Choice Awards. This is chance for regular folks outside the game industry to let their voices be heard and let the designers, writers, and artists know their work is appreciated. If you enjoyed the Serenity RPG -- and I hope you did! -- then please take a moment and consider us for your vote. Deadline is June 12, 2006, so don't think on it too long!

Don't know anything about the Serenity RPG? I'm sure your fellow Browncoats will help educate you, but in the meantime you can visit our website to learn more.

Take care, and keep flyin'!

Congratulations on the nomination and good luck. And yes I voted. And not just because it's Serenity it's a good set of rules as well.

Hey Jamie,

How 'bout that nomination huh? Here we all were just tryin' our best to make a darn shiny RPG for Serenity, and then it goes and gets some industry type notice. Cool.

The other great thing is that any time Firefly or Serenity stay in the news it keeps the 'verse on the radar... and still flyin'...

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Yep, we're Big Damn Heroes!

Good to see us up for an award. Lot of effort, love and sweat went into the game. Had fun with it though.

11th is right that anything keeping Serenity in the headlines and on the radar is a good thing. Plus, it's another talking point to new people to get them to give the BDM & the series a shot.

I haven't played it yet, but have looked at the pictures and have mine ordered. But on the pictures alone I'd vote for it.. plus it's about my most favorite thing in the world!

Congratulations to 11th Hour and Browncoat1 for doing such a good job!

Went and voted.. of course.

I went in a comic shop in Branson, MO. at the start of spring with my Serenity tee on and the guy behind the counter waved and said
"Hey! Fellow Browncoat!" I just got my RPG book,
wanna see?!"

Of course I rushed over and we spent the next 20 minutes looking and talking about it.

It's beautiful and detailed and everyone should go vote!

JUGGERNAUT

As a GM for a dedicated group of fans, I can say that the Serenity RPG folks have done a great job. The book's great, the new system works really well in duplicating the rapid style and great story of the series, and they're really good with their customers. In fact, they just posted a free download for an alphabetized index (since it didn't make the original press deadline).

If you haven't bought a copy, pick it up -- even if you don't play RPGs, it's worth it.

Thanks for the very kind words, Juggernaut!

Voting is now over, so I hope we made a good showing of ourselves. I appreciate everyone's support.
