I'm not sure of how big of a fan she is but Meg Cabot(author of the Princess Diaries series) once left a tip on how to live or something like that on hr blog...

Ask a guy out—you don't have to tell him you've had a huge crush on him since the fifth grade. Just ask him if he wants to go see SERENITY or something with you. Baby steps, people. Baby steps.

So...she must be a fan if the first movie she thinks of is the BDM. And it also draws in my theory that she's not just a Buffy fan(as is obvious in The Princess Diaries and Teen Idol), but a Whedon fan in general.

Browncoats are the coolest fans I've ever seen.

Well, some bands do let their fans email them...I've actually been very tempted to try to talk Serenity to Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy but last time I tried to email him about something, it bounced. Plus, I'm not sure if that would make me rank among the teenage marriage proposers. Pft. Whatever...

Authors are probably a better choice anyway. I just emailed Meg Cabot to ask if she was a Firefly fan just to give me some closure.

Here is the link to Orson Scott Card's review of Serenity....great stuff.

Ender's Game is my favorite book, so hearing such high praise of Serenity and Firefly from him was Shiny indeed.

Well, paul philips gave Serenity 4 out of five on his blog. He's a big deal in poker circles, and a lot of people respect what he says.

I can't believe I hadn't seen that on Mercedes Lackey's site earlier! I just re-read the Last Hearal Mage series just a few months ago!!

The woman who writes the Princess Diary books also gave Farscape a mention in one of the books, so she must be a big sci fi fan in general. All to the good I say.

Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. They wrote the original and venerable Dragonlance Chronicles as well as my favorite fantasy series the Death Gate Cycle. They also worked for many years with TSR and later Wizards of the Coast on Dungeons and Dragons. They currently run the Dragonlance D20 game as well as the Serenity roleplaying game. I heard they also might want to write some Serenity novels.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Do Joss Whedon and the cast and crew count?

Other people can occasionally be useful, especially as minions. I want lots of minions.

Matthew Reilly, a pretty big Australian author. He's a huge fan of both Firefly and Serenity, and Joss Whedon in general.

Concerning Stephen King:
"His movie pick of the week is Serenity— he loved it."

All the others just have (excellent) or (very good) in brackets, but Serenity? He loved it.
