Before we had our bowl of fresh strawberries this morning, my family said a quick prayer to whomever was listening to:

1) Bring back Firefly
2) Failing that, another movie
3) A plague of locusts to visit the groin of the
person that had the show cancelled.

We then joined hands and sang the theme song. After breakfast, we exchanged copies of the DVD's followed by a rousing game of "Hero" where one blindfolded person tries to put the knitted hat on "Jane" (you can use another person or a melon to be Jane) while the rest of us sing "The Hero of Canton". Whoever wins gets to be Jane for a day and all the Mudder's Milk they cna drink.

What traditions does your family have?

Epic.

Making all the meals in the Serenity Cookbook and watching the DVDs.

One day.
One plan.
One army of Browncoats.

On June 23rd, we aim to misbehave.

I'm the only one in my family who's a Browncoat, so I can't really have shiny family traditions like that...

But when I got up this morning, I did an excited little dance...maybe THAT can become my tradition!

Anyway cheers to all of you who have them! Its really sweet to see the whole family getting into it!

We'll have some tasteless protein stuff for dinner, as we sit down to watch the movie.

Ok, I lied... no tasteless protein... we're grillin' steaks as we sit downt to watch the movie!

1. Pray to Buddha for a pony, a plastic rocket and a sequel .
2. Donate to Equality Now ( this is a from now on tradition.)
3. Watch a marathon of the BDSeries capped off by a viewing on the big tv of the BDM with surround sound ON.
4. Buy DVD's and either donate them or share them.
5. Donate to the site here. ( This is a from now on tradition too.)

If it becomes a Browncoat tradition to have screenings of the BDM for Equality Now - which would be awesome! I'll do that too.

I've started a few of my own traditions. So far, I've been having my own Firefly/Serenity marathon. I've been watching the episodes with commentary, something I've never done before. And of course, posting on this website.

Nrdpwr, on the homepage, over on the left where it says Support FFF.net are some things you can buy that when you buy them it contributes to the site.

That's one way.

To just donate to the site, scroll down a little further and there is a donate button.

I donated the other day when the site was having so much trouble.. I am gonna do it again today.. well, cuz I want to start my traditions.

Well, so far, I have posted my thanks to all who sponsored, worked on, drove from a great distance, or attended our screening last night in Fresno. I'm hoping all that becomes tradition since we are already thinking about what we will do for next year's screening.

I donated to this site.

I ordered a loaner copy of Firefly, since I gave my previous one to the person who originally borrowed it.

I tried to order a copy of Serenity, but it would only let me buy five, not one. Every time I hit one it went back to five. I'll try again later.

I came back here for the first time in months since I've been so busy with the screening.

Later, I will watch my favorite Firefly episodes.

I'm sure some other things will crop up during the day. Maybe I'll order a cocktail party ticket for Flanvention!

Stay shiny!

Easier: someone invents the teleporter and a bunch of browncoats teleport in. With spikes. And tazers. And Andromeda DVD's (the PAIN!!! the PAIN!!!)

Comments like these make me laugh tea out of my nose.

We now have a vote for kittens of doom as well.

Hey!
Sorry I have been away for a while. Been too busy with the screening in Montreal, which was last night! It was awesome! We got some money (for Equality Now not for me,I know...), and people had fun!

I don't have any traditions yet(although people have suggested doing the screening again next year...:P), but maybe I will watch an episode of Firefly tonight. And donating to this site sounds good, but its American Amazon, and I cant do the free shipping since I am in Canada!
