STolen from Television without Pity (which in turn mentioned something from this site in one message): Ron Glass was interviews/had an article done on him by the Indianapolis Star (it should be noted that Glass is an Indiana native having been born in Evansville) in which a lot of good stuff was mentioned. There aren't really any spoilers though Glass *does* discuss some things about his character (nothing about the characters direction but perhaps a few bits and pieces in regards to the characters qualities) that might be considered spoilers if you have been avoiding stuff completely (I consider it very minor but I thought I should mention it before I got yelled at). The link is at http://www.indystar.com/article.php?marc24.html . Feel free to enjoy (it is much more positive than the article I mentioned yesterday .

"It looks like a great adventure...That's what it is; that's what it feels like. When I saw the pilot, it was really engaging. It was exciting. It was unusual. It threw me off every now and then. I think people will be grabbed by it." - Ron Glass, on the pilot, during an interview with the Indianapolis Star

I completely forgot about Ron Glass when I was doing background searches! Thanks, MillerNate, for pointing the Indianapolis Star!

As for the article... I don't like how he's handleing the idea of having fans. "As for fan conventions, if those are to occur, he laughs and says: 'I won't be involved in that -- he said today.'"

Kind of a pompus attitude, isn't it? While he may be "above" the fans, if he's a good enough actor, I won't complain.

It's interesting that he says he won't be getting involved in Cons and stuff. I wonder if he'll change his mind if it's a big success. It's something I always wonder about actors going into a genre TV role - do they think about the fact that if it's a success they could still be being invited to conventions in 10, 20 years? Could be quite daunting I suppose.

Also about the character -

I didn't read it that way - though you may be right - I just thought he meant it wasn't something he was interested in doing.
