Well since it is still Serenity Day in my time zone I thought I would post a little message. Just got done with my Firefly marathon with Serenity as the finale. After about 15 or so hours of my favorite subject in the world I have now reaffirmed that everytime I watch it I fall more in love with them than before. I even amazingly still cry at the sad parts. I hope Serenity Day was a huge success for everyone and now we can only hope that someone took major notice of the activities today and will make something happen. Congratulations to all who organized and volunteered the screenings all over the world, because of your hard work new Browncoats got to see Serenity on the big damn screen. Bless you all! Browncoats FOREVER!

I feel ya!
I still get at least watery eyes at one point in every episode - every time. Mostly when it's a scene that shows how much the BDHs care for each other.
And I assure you that my neighbors know when I'm watching an episode, because I sing along with the theme song at the top of my lungs every time.
I've watched EVERY episode at least 20 times now since April (although most of the times on the side while I'm working), and I'm still waiting for the boredom to kick in. You never get tired of something you love. Although I wouldn't complain if our relationship would get a bit spicier. More Firefly, gorramit!

As for S-Day itself, it was kind of a stressfull day, RL-wise, but it fueled the fire in me, and then some. And after a midnight chat about the 'Versary and the Summer Campaign with Hera and Followmal, I closed my bedroom door nekkid and grinning, going "Good day. Good day.", and fell asleep smiling soon afterwards.

It was an excellent day, thank you for asking!

About a week ago I moved to Portland OR., got to
finally watch the series with my best friend, and
then take her to the BDM last night!!!
I even met the one true B!X. Got a shiny little
poster, a t-shirt, and a Security patch as
souveniers. The movie rocked (for the 9th time on the bigscreen), my buddy cried, and I'm giddy!
yeea --great day.

It was a great day! I now have the e-mails of 16 other people who are interested in a Northern Colorado Browncoats group, which is 15 more than I had last week!
I see some Shindigs in our future

My favorite applause moment (well it was almost one) was when someone in the back gave a couple little claps when

and the whole theatre started laughing.

Sadly, there were no big damn screenings in my area and I believe I am the only huge flan in my town. I am a missionary.

But that didn't stop me from wearing my blue sun shirt (My friend even wore his that I got him), my Jayne hat, and Browncoats bracelet around town. Every time someone asked about the hat, I told them it was a gift from me mom.

I am reading the novel finally, and am really enjoying it - so I guess my S-Day was a little more subtle and came and went without any major trumpets. I like to think of all the people I shown the series to and watched them fall in love with it is my S-Day cake and presents all rolled into one.

I didn't know of any showings in my area, so I have to rely on the DVD.

But in regards to another part of today, which is the DVD-buying, I don't think it can just stop at today, we have to keep buying, for a few days at least. Because as far as I knew, it was just this one day, but I think it needs to be a couple more as well.

Sent my letters to the Universal honchos on Tuesday[on BROWN paper, of course]
Ordered twice from AMAZON[2 Firefly, 4 SERENITY]
Happy to see this morning that SERENITY sits in the number 2 slot, and FIREFLY looks awesome sitting at number 3.
That,s looking like success to me.
"We've done the impossible, and that makes us mighty!"

Might have to buy a few more copies today, I'd love to see us in that number 1 spot.

Not to worry! The Serenity 'Versary is on September 30th, and boy, are we gonna kick butt!
Naturally, we'll get new recruits and attention through the S-Day effort, and people have lots of time to put some money aside, we can learn from S-Day, reach more people over a summer full of conventions, shindigs and events, AND we got a few surprises for y'all, too.
The fat lady hasn't sung by a longshot.

Tha Alexandria VA BDM was a sold out show. Thank the BDH's I ordered my tickets on-line the first day they were available!

The entire audience cheered, clapped, laughed, and sighed along with each other. There were several poeple in hand-knit "Jayne caps" and they looked very cunning. I had brought along about two dozen Fruity Oaty Bars and was giving them out with every $5 donation to EN, but they went in about 30 seconds. People kept on donating anyway.

We were thinking about going out for a shindig after the show, but couldn't find anywhere that would allow "Browncoats - party of 250" after midnight.

Goramit, we had a great time!

Thank you AGATSU,STDOUBT,PHOENIXROSE,PAYTHEMAN,KENOBIUS,RACOONBOY,DALILABA,WHOOPS,and PAGANPAUL for posting. It was great to hear how everyone's day went. I am really happy about the ranking of our beloved show and BDM. It is so great chatting with people who love this just as much or even more than i do because usually when I mention it to people I just get the weird looks. KENOBIUS...dont worry I am the only Browncoat in my area too, it gets a bit lonely sometimes but you never know when you're going to come across another fan so keep trying. I envy all those who got to go to the screenings, just reading about everyone's time was good enough for me. Now let's start planning the next one!! take care all and dont forget...we all got on this boat for different reasons now let's AIM to MISBEHAVE!

The word is those are red hot.

I hope you're okay now, kid. Make sure you don't kiss any concrete on the 'Versary!
Or, like, ever.

I celebrated in my head and by doodling firefly scenes and quotes in my school books. There were no screenings near me, and my computer was messed up, so I couldnt even come on here!
I thought about graffiting

One Mission,
One army of Browncoats
On June 23rd, we aim to misbehave
on the wall in the toilets at school, but I couldnt find a pen, and I'm pretty sure they have CCTV in there anyway.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

We had a great day. Left work early to get my DVDs, went up to Arlington for the screening, had a viewing party when we got home, and gave away two DVDs during a Firefly/Serenity trivia contest.

It was the best day ever.

Hope your feeling better, 13, that had to hurt.

My Serenity Day was awesome! I finally got back onto FFF.net and basically spent the day on here until it was time to go to my screening (Boston). I got all dressed up and someone from New England Browncoats took my picture because I was a "BDM on the big screen" virgin. I got a shiny poster and wristband and had sooo much fun talking to all the Browncoats around me. It was really great to be able to spontaneously quote the BDM or the show and have people actually know what I was talking about! It was also really fun to watch the BDM and have the whole theatre laughing/booing/clapping at all the right parts. I loved the sense of, well, community that came out of it.

Really looking forward to the Sereniversary!! Serenity Day should definitely become a yearly thing!!

Mine is an evil sugar high laugh! Bwahahahaha!

That's great MORWEN112! I am a "BDM on the big screen" virgin as well. Not enough Browncoats in the community here to have a screening but I am hoping for one for the 'Versary. That must have been really awesome to be there, just reading about it gets me excited! I'm glad you had a great day! Keep flyin.
