Well, here I am! Just got back from screening and dinner! My but it was good to see the BDM on the Big Damn Screen again! And I got to meet OnTheDrift, which is shiny
Anyway, that's all I really have to say right now; I enjoyed myself and now I'm back home and trying to keep that shiny feeling. I'm still irked at Ex of Doom, though
I dunno, I think Seryn's advice about keeping my dignity is about right. It's just knowing exactly how to do that. Gah.

PR- Hey read the ex email and may I say.."Shaver's on standby!" He's a jerk and his "I panicked" is because after he said what he did and he spent some time without you he realized how great you were and how badly he screwed up by thinking only of himself and now he's trying to excuse his behavior. I think we should shave the rat bald ( and I do mean bald) and post him on a nice website maybe men seeking felons:)

We're back Yippeee!!! Sadly also back from trip. Husband got sick and wanted to come home so we drove 5 hours last night and got in at one am. Having you guys all back makes up for it though!! ALl better rage and disappointment gone I have FF:)

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Awwwwww, MSG you always know just what to say!
And I've made my decision about it. As many things as I would like to say to him, and as many things as I think he needs to hear, I am going to do nothing. I gave him a warning and a promise: "If you push me out of your life completely I'm not coming back." I realized that responding, especially via e-mail, would be an itty-bitty breach of that promise. The big difference between him and me is that when I say something I actually mean it, and I would like that to hold true. If he calls me or actually confronts me in person I'll have no choice but to say something to him, but it will probably be along the same lines as what I just said here about not coming back.
It's difficult for me, but I respect myself enough not to fall back into any kind of trap with him. I'm sure everyone here has experienced losing someone they really cared about, and I'm not going to say I never miss him; at least the version of him before he went crazy. Which is kind of the point. Now that version is lost and only in my memories and there's no point in trying to regain it in some fashion or another. There's not even any point in having a quick exchange just in hopes that we can end on a better note than we did.
He made his decision, he was very aware of what he was doing, and he was flat-out told what the consequences would be. Time he learned to deal with those kinds of consequences, methinks.
Really I think nearly any other course of action would make him feel like what he did wasn't that bad, and it was. It still is. He shouldn't think that kind of behavior is okay or he'll just keep at it.
Plus, he doesn't deserve any more energy from me.
So, I am very glad all of you were here to help me think through this, I thank you very much for all your comments, insight, and support. I can only hope that such a thing does not happen again. I'm not fond of that tight feeling in my stomach.
You are all, of course, free to exact revenge on my behalf
*ahem* All joking(ish) aside, I'm sure that what his life is likely to be like is more than enough revenge. He's in for a lot of nasty bites from the cruel teeth of Lady Reality. It's not going to be fun for him. I'm almost glad I don't have to try walking him through such things anymore. Me being how I am, I wouldn't have minded then, I would have stuck with him through nearly anything he was going through. It was his decision to reject that, and now I'm starting to wonder why I was willing to put up with so much, and starting to be glad that now I'm not anymore. It's funny to me what I'll put up with for something I feel good about; at least, until that good is gone. If there's no good to balance it out, I don't put up with
So I won't. I am done with him and may it serve as a lesson in his life.
Hwoon-dan.

*edit* LOL! Can't shoot 'em! Well, yeah, he's hardly worth a jail term.

MSG, i'm afraid its totally gone. Disappeared, down the pan.

My one witty comment and there it goes.

Sorry! I'll remember at somepoint and yell it at you when it means absolutely nothing.

Ok, new topic -

girls, the guys on dating sites/myspace/faceparty whatever, who use pictures of their chests on their profile. What do you think? Sad? Sexy? Attractive? Pathetic? Hunky? Stupid? Sign of a personality vacant? Cake icing? Does it make you more or less inclined to take them seriously? Would you jump in with a 'yes please' or instantly delete their messages?

Lads - girls using pictures of their tits. I think I know what the answer may be, but in the interests of equality, I have to ask.

A pretty picture is always nice! Although if the only picture is of the chest that's a little wierd. Just means an ugly face! So I'm doing wonderful being alone. Except I'm starting to notice that FSO was kind of my sugar daddy. Without much sugar but he did pay for a lot! Oh well I have my friends and lots of love so I'm happy if a little poor.

yeah, i keep getting loads of guys sending me messages, and their pictures are just photo's of their (allbeit, buff and muscly) chests. Its not that I object to that sort of thing, but ican't help my first reaction being
'What? Is that all you have to say for your self? Ooh, look at me, I have upper body muscle groups'

I did used to read their profiles, but every single one of them was almost identikit - very little original stuff. 'I like footie and workin out and drinkin wiv me mates.'

That or they are form another country and i'm pretty sure they just want to marry for a passport.

I don't know. Whatever clues you can glean from a mans left boob as to personality and brains are just lost on me I guess. And after a while it wasn't even fun to ogle the pictures af muscly naked types.

Are my standards to high?

I can understand anyone who's leery about meeting people that way - never know who's an axe murderer by way of a hobby. But it's possible to be careful, starting with sticking to LOTS of email exchange before ever meeting to get to know them somewhat, then ALWAYS meeting in a public place until you know the person well enough to trust them.

Okay so here's the sitch....FSO and his new girlfriend (yeah that's right less than 3 weeks and he "met" someone) are probably going to The Rocky Horror Picture Show tonight. Some of the cast is comprised of our mutual friends. I wanted to go but backed out because of this. Arrrggg this pisses me off! He never went anywhere with me! I went to the movies alone (a lot) I went to parties alone! I went to the park alone! F**k now he's going to get all social and I won't get to hang with my friends. My vindictive side kind of wants to start dragging attractive booty call guy around with to shove in his face. The nice side of me just wants to collapse in the corner and cry.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Oh Copilot, honey, I feel your pain. Imagine if you had met him at RHPS!
My advice? Get sexed up in your best gear, then show up and be sickeningly cheerful. And above all, ignore him unless he talks to you directly. Act like you don't see or reckognize him. If he does talk to you give him a huge grin and say something like "Oh hey! I didn't know you liked stuff like this! Huh." and just dance away and flirt with the nearest cutie. In fact, flirt like mad the whole time; anything goes at Rocky. You can walk up to total strangers and bite them on the neck. Especially if they're virgins
I always used to use the excuse of "adding" to their lipsticked faces/necks/chests with lip prints. Make sure you bring an tube of nice red lipstick so you can keep refreshing and leave good prints! It's a very innocent way to flirt with a lot of people because you just leave a few lip marks and move on so they know you're not serious. But hopefully it would still make him twitch a little.
And if you have a toy you can bring along and grope, shiny!
Hey, if he's going to act like you can be easily replaced, turnabout is only fair play.

I know it's not the easiest advice to follow. If you do break down, make sure you duck into the bathroom so he doesn't see you. And if you need a virtual shoulder to cry on afterwards, I'm always here that time of night! But it's okay just so long as he doesn't know he got to you.
You know I just realized this is probably coming a little late. Sorry I didn't get on til now!

Yes, well, people who say one thing and do another make me angry. Quite angry. Especially when their actions toy directly with my heart. He very abruptly started doing the opposite of anything he said and pissed me off very badly. Now he changed his tune a little bit but is still not owning up to everything he did, which pisses me off more if that's possible. And it hurt very badly.
I'd almost prefer it if he was just Wedding Crashers crazy. She was cute in a disturbing way, and only ever did exactly what she said.

Mild vengence can be very theraputic..Just do something small like posting his name on a herpes alert website or photoshopping a pic of him in girls undies and email it to his mom...little things that make your day a bit brighter and let him understand what it's like to get jerked around a bit:)

Out of curiousity how many people out there have wreaked a little vengence on an ex?

did anyone ever see this film called 'Hackers'

oh, it was kinda cool. Hopelessly dated now. But there was this one great bit where they're competing to see which is the better hacker, and theres one great bit where their breaking into police records etc to harras this agent hell bent of catching them. And they post his (the agents) number in a fake add on a phone sex site, so all these sicko perverts start calling him up at all funny hours of the day and night.

Anyone seen that movie? No? Nevermind. Just thought i'd mention it, is all.

the true beuty of it I always thought, was that it required no effort on the revengers part - zero running about. Even less work than peppering his underwear or vigilante shaving. And it could be done from anywhere in the world - all you need is the number of a phone that only the revengee uses. And et voila! A bunch of rubber fetishists doing all the hard work for you.

But yes, anyway, what were we talking about?

Morning, all!

Exes...sometimes I think it would be easier to just shoot them and move on. I am not currently having any problems with any, so I have no interesting anecdotes to add.

I have some questions that have been nagging me for ahwile...
Does anyone in here use parties as an aphrodisiac? What I mean by that is drinkning, flirting, generally having a good time whether or not your SO is there, and then taking all of that built-up "lust" and unleashing it on the SO when you are alone again?

Holding until you get back, Captain.

PHOENIXROSE

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I did that with a concert once. Concerts are one of my ultimate aphrodisiac, but I only got the one chance to use it on a SO. Though we did use RHPS a few times, too.

As for shooting them... Well, let's just say I'd have an easier time letting go if they died in truth rather than just the relationship/connection/spirit dying. I wouldn't want to do the killing myself, though.
