We pay them vast sums of money for doing bugger all; that seems fairly smart to me.

Not only that but I don't know about the US but over here I'm pretty sure those vast bank administrative charges for bounced checks are illegal.

You see they are allowed to charge you administrative charges, but they have to be just that, their costs of administrating the bounced check, they can’t make a profit on them. Certainly now that it's all done by computer and the only people doing anything is the intern stuffing the envelopes and the postie sticking them through your front door there is no way in hell that those admin charges are in the region of £20-£30.

But banks get away with it because people don't question it, and people don't question it because they don't know it's wrong, and even if they do the people who end up with these charges are people who don't have any money so they can't afford a lawyer so they can't question it.

Banks have got it made.

That's why I find yelling at the bank tellers works wonders. They don't like being yelled at. Course, I only yelled at them when it was their fault, but still, it worked WONDERS.

Which reminds me, I must go to the bank. NOW. byee!

Actually the cost of a cheque bouncing is probably about what they charge for it. Sorry guys now I work in a bank I'm trying hard not to turn into some crazed office worker and failing miserably!

Not everything is done by a computer a person still has to type into the computer so the cost of the persons wages have to be accounted for, add to that the price of the phone calls, the postage, the coffee the person had to drink whilst dealing with the problem and it all gets very costly!!

On the other hand banks have got it made because they hire temps like me to do the same work as the full time staff and yet only pay us half as much! Grr!

Where's the ranting thread got to......?

Oh a happier note I sure am glad to see you all back here!!! I missed you.

On a happier note I have found a new TV show to obsess about. Bones. I absolutely love it. David Boreanez so much sexier when he's not playing Angel!

Oh and I almost forgot... 2-1!!!! Beckham is my hero but Crouch is still an absolute retard!

I googled directions from Heathrow to Cornwall and it has me going up on M4 to Bristol and then down on M5.

It seems to me it would be shorter to take A331 and A303 or something instead.

But as I know aboslutely nothing about driving in Englandland, I thought I'd ask you!

OoooooOOOo! guess what? I may be able to go to S3... maybe. I'm not deploying at all, but because we will have lost 3-4 people by September and only got 1 in, we may not have the people so i can take leave and go. So its still all up in the air. If my days off(not my leave, but just normal days off) magically fall so i can go to at least 1 day of the con, I may need bed/floor/closet/bathtub to crash in(maybe), since this is all up in the air, plus i can't afford to just get myself and only myself a room.

but anyways, where is everyone? this thread seems dead

Randomness? How about the flyer I got last week when I joined a gym (called Tipness)? Yes it is strangly worded, but I was thankful that it was in English. It's a lot easier than translating the Japanese.

One, who has tatoo(s), cannot be accepted as a member of Tipness by rule.

One, who has a tattoo and strongly wishes to be a member of Tipness, can be accepted exceptionally only under the following conditions:
1. One must not be a ganster
2. The size of tattoo must be within core part of palm.
3. Tattoo must be just one point and must not spread over parts of the body.
4. Tattoo must be hidden, while using the club including aqua zone, bath room and sauna.
5. One must not disclose to anyone else that one has been accepted exceptionally.
6. In case one, whos has been accepted exceptionally, violates any of the above mentioned conditions or is pointed out as a tattoo carrier by any other member, must resign one's membership.
