So I have a question: does anybody know if there has been some sort of "definitive" or "semi-definitive," anyway, tally of how well our "serenity Day" efforts went? I'd really love to know.

AND... as a further service, I will immediately go collapse into sleep, as I am a "stupid, inbred stack of (exhausted) meat."

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Well, in terms of how much the screenings made, the current tally is $61,189. I think that is HUGE!
DVD sales? No idea what the total on that is, but there was quite a spike in Amazon rankings.

The Charity Screenings have made over $60,000 with all but 9 theaters accounted for, and one showing left to go.

I don't know what others were expecting, but I thought this was pretty phenomenal!

The DVD Buy Efforts, not to be confused with the Charity Efforts, brought the Serenity DVD up to #2 and Firefly up to #3 at Amazon.Com.
When I looked this afternoon, Serenity had dropped to 11 and Firefly was holding at #5!!!

This doesn't account for copies purchased directly from Universal, from Overstock.Com (someone was saying Amazon wouldn't let them buy as many copies as they wanted so they went to Overstock), nor does it account for brick & mortar store purchases.

I think we made quite an impression!

Huge? Pretty phenominal? Nonsense! 60.000 bucks is simply... *starts singing*

Super-calli-fragilistic-expiali-docious!

Kudos to everyone at Serenity Now for their incredible dedication and professionalism, I mean, damn! Equality Now can help a lot of ladies with that kinda money.

The Serenity Summer Campaign is on, baby - prepare to kick some serious pigu!
September 30th is Serenity 'Versary! Be there or be a purple-belted poop-head. (<- not the official slogan.)
I'm so into Firefly, my butt glows in the dark.

Thanks for your feedback, y'all...

I had a few minutes to do a little checking and I found that Videoscan publishes all those sales records - essentially a vhs/dvd version of the various Variety charts.

However, they're for paid subscription to video professionals in that trade only. Double however though, Billboard prints the top, I think it was 25, from the Videoscan chart but, TRIPle however, they do it a couple or three weeks after the fact. The latest list they printed was dated the week ending 6/10/06 so... any day now, there'll be a (free) listing from the week containing 6/23

If somebody has more up-to-date info, it'd be nice to see and, if it can't be posted any sooner, well I'll just keep a check on Billboard

's to all y'all Browncoats
