I would imagine alot of you have listen to the commentary from the DVD boxset.

I just want to say that the story about the button from "Out of Gas" just choked me up. The fact that Alan "took" the button from the set on the last day of shooting and he eventually mailed it back to Joss and said if that miracle comes just signal.

If anyone is looking for that commentary i think its the commentary from Joss Whedon in "OBJECTS IN SPACE"

Yeah, it was OIS. there was a couple other spots too where I believe Alan mentions it and somebody else... slips my mind who else.

Coincidentally, I just finished listening to the commentary on "Out of Gas" and Tim Minear tells the Alan Tudyk and button story. David Solomon, the director, had never heard the story and sounded really moved. Ditto me.

I listened to the OIS commentary last week and don't remember the button story. But I'm fallible as all hell.

Nope. The story is told in the "Out of Gas" commentary by Tim Minear. Alan mentions that he stole the button in the "The Message" commentary, but doesn't mention the part about giving it to Joss. It's not mentioned at all in the OiS commentary.

Definitely was surprised and moved by the story.

Maybe it was the David Solomon commentary i thinking about. Maybe it wasn't in OIS. Well anyways that story really moves me and hope someday Joss will use that button.
