Its the summer of Serenity, and since I am not particurlary good at converting people (mainly because I love my DVDs too much to lend them out)I could use some shiny ideas on how to spread the word better.
Anything at all.

First off, I got an extra set of the BDSeries and the BDM for just such emergencies. Couldn't bear to part with my DVD's to watch, so I had to have back up.

There's several other things that you can do-

You can go to 11th Hour's guerilla poster site and copy off some posters and hang them up or hand them out. Here is a link to her site:

I have them hanging in my office and have put them up in businesses that are friendly with mine and in the movie rental place. They are great conversation starters and really catch people's eyes.

You can pepper your speech with Fireflyisms and when people ask you about them, you can tell them all about Firefly/Serenity and then direct them to the library to check out a copy.

There are all manner of shiny shirts out in the world for purchase both official and verse made.
Check out-
Hot Topic and get an official Serenity logo shirt or a Jayne or Buddha shirt. Or check out CafePress.com or links right here on FFF.net. I've found when I wear my Serenity wear, I flush out either fellow Browncoats or wannabe Browncoats.

Get involved in the Summer of Serenity Campaign.
We are gonna have fun things for Browncoats to do and many jobs for many hands when it gets rolling.
Keep up with it in the Browncoat Events Forum on the right of the homepage. Or write me and ask what is going on at followmal@gmail.com. We are just getting started but it won't be long we'll be hollerin' for folks to sign up with us.

I'm having Firefly checks printed as we speak. You simply send them your favorite pic and they put it on your checks! Imagine sending your mortgage company a check with Firefly on it.

Last September a friend of mine ran off 500 copies of one of 11th Hour's guerilla flyers and put them on cars in the Metro parking lots.

However...the best way IS to loan a box set to said potential convert. You'll need to have two sets...one for you, one for loan. It is unavoidable.

thanks for all your tips: I hope to be putting some in action soon. I looked at 11thhour's website, and the posters are great. I already have two firefly t-shirts: one with all the Serenity quotes on, and the other with Wash quotes, but I think they are too subtle, so I'm saving up to get some more. Thanks everyone!!
