Hey all,

My name's Art and I just thought I'd introduce myself. I joined FFF a while back but never posted anything until just recently, so I thought I'd say hi!

HI!

Anyway, I hadn't seen the series until I visited my friends earlier this year in TX who had it on DVD. I saw the first episode and was immediately enthralled with it. The writing was amazing, the characters were profound and intense, and the premise of the story was awesome. Now, I am a Star Trek/Wars fan, and I think this is as good if not better than the two. Star Trek dealt more with the "military" life. Although, it was not just an exploration of space, but of the human condition.

Firefly brings this exploration of the human condition to the common man. It's more nitty-gritty than Star Trek. Bottom line, it's just an amazing show and I am deeply saddened that it was canceled early - not even a whole season. I believe that had Firefly had the 2 hour season premiere first instead of last, it would have gone on for much longer.

Anyway, just thought I'd join up with the Browncoats in this fight - it may have been the losing side, but I'm not convinced it was the wrong one.

Hi, Art/Ged, and welcome! We're glad you're here and have decided to post. It's good to hear from you. I completely agree with your opinion on what makes "Firefly" so great, and I suspect I won't be the only one.

Several other Browncoats should be along soon to join in welcoming you. Meanwhile, we hope to keep hearing from you, and together we WILL win the fight.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone. It's nice to be around people who understand how awesome Firefly/Serenity is. I have been trying to propogate this series and movie among all my friends. Oh yes, our number will definitely be growing.
