At the office where I work, we have a TV in the kitchen with cable. I'm planning on just turning it on when I get in and leaving it on all day.

In Texas, War Stories oughta be up around lunch time! Think I'll brown bag it that day.

This is cool.

Damn it, I am working on July 14th. Ah well, it is my last day of work for the week so I can pull out my own Firefly boxset and pull an all-nighter.

Hera, my work lobby has a tv and although we play Firefly and Serenity daily... it'll be nice to see it with the commercials ( yea.. I know, but it was meant to be seen that way... )
and I love the intros.. especially the one by Mal!

I'll wager there are gonna be people piled up in my lobby all day long. I like when that happens.

Followmal, you are very lucky. I am starting work on July 4th so I am not really sure what is in the office but from what I can assume, I will just have a computer to use as my interaction to the real world. Oh well, there's always a next time.

Is this a hint of 'rebirth'?! I sure as hell hope so! Maybe SciFi is considering funding Firefly rather than wasting money on all those stupid SciFi Original movies! :P

Shiny! Now I can record the opening narrative about Earth-that-was, the only thing missing from the BDDVD. (anyone know why they weren't included by any chance?)

PEULSAR5, Ive wondered that too. I like the openeing and it just lays the ground work and lets you know where things kinda stand and what your about to watch. Everything they say is stuff I end up haveing to explain to 1st time viewers anyway...not that I mind talking about the 'verse...

That was one thing I found inetresting about the other version of Serenity:The Pilot, was the opening description. (granted the reader was a bit over the top...)

Anyone have a decent mp3 of that openeing? I have one but Mal is on the verge of sounding like a chipmunk...:p

twas a perrty sight as jello was a slingen and the ladies were all in a heap of fun.
Twas a right shiny event for the eyes to feast on.

It was fun!!

I sure as hell hope so. Maybe they are trying to figure out how many people tune in to see if they should continue Firefly. If so, everyone tune in your televisions to the Sci-Fi channel, even if you are not there. Giving Sci-Fi false information won't hurt and will be beneficiary to us in the end when we have our second season of Firefly.

Yeah, I don't know if I'll see all of them since I'll have class, but I'll try. I really want to hear this infamous introduction.

I told my friend and he was like "Don't you own the DVD's?" I answered yes, but it'll be great to watch Firefly when it's actually ON TV (well, of course it's on the TV, but I mean on as in part of a broadcast). Can't stop the signal!

I mentioned this at http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=21968
but I think this is important, so I'm all over the place with it.

Write them and thank them for airing it. And use brown paper, so they'll know who we are.
