Theatre majors?

Anyone here major in theatre? I looked at a thread somewhere where everyone was talking about how they did theatre. So, if you did, can you give me the lowdown? Like, where did you go to school, how did you get in... the norm. I'm interested in the acting aspect of theatre, not techie stuff (not that there's anything wrong with that!), so... help would be cool. Thanks!

Don't know how much help I'll be. I've not done any Theatre, but I was cast as an extra for a movie shot here in Birmingham called Cobb, starring Tommy Lee Jones. I also sing for Opera Birmingham.

The only thing I can tell you is that starting from the tech side can be a good way to get into the business, because then when they need someone, there you will be, and they will already know you are familiar with the stage.

So who is he?

I suggest you get involved in community theater in your area. It is a great place to learn if "acting" is really for you, as well as being a HOOT!
