May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

As has been noted elsewhere, the cast is out and about, trying to make a living in the business. Could be some contract froo-fa-rah that needs negotiating.

This from the fella who's happily batting the latest Book theory around?

Quote:Originally posted by BrownCoat1: Then I speculate that the DVD sales will show Universal execs to produce the movie. The movie will set records at the box office. Joss & the cast will be rolling in money & only too happy to sign to a 10 season contract w/ full creative freedom w/ the Sci Fi Channel. Oh.....and all of will get reoccuring guest roles on the show. Now that is speculation!

Huh? Why do you think SciFi would do this? They are the channel for a show such as Firefly. I think they would stick with it. Afterall, they've stuck with Stargate SG-1 for 6 or 7 seasons. And considering that Firefly, in my opinion, is better than Stargate SG-1 (and I'm a SG-1 fan).

Quote:Originally posted by DaveB: So how does this stock-exchange thing help then? Short answer: We dont know, because we dont know who is looking at it. But it cant hurt. Long answer: My inside sources tell me that there are some very sophisticated mathmatical models for taking information from simulated stock market and futures operations and making predictions about the future based on it. This is not a game. Some of you may remember the big dust up several months back about a "proposed terrorism futures market" to be sponsored by John Ashcroft and DARPA. The press had it wrong; no one ever proposed using real money to set up such a futures market for the general public. It probably would have been a simulation, probably only open to intelligence and military types, which could then be evaluated to try to predict at-risk targets. Back to the point, you can tell a lot about how much people believe in a certain idea/property/person by how much money, even fake money, they will bet on it. I own 50,000 shares of "Firefly" on hsx.com. How about you?
