Still think the eating at Trackrabbit Slim's is better...

Some people worship cows, yet we eat 'em. Big deal.

On vegetarianism: I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain just to eat what food eats!

On the other hand, I've eaten "pasteurized process cheese food." Does that mean I'm depriving some poor, starving cheese somewhere of a meal?

Eat what you want, so long as it ain't people.

I completely agree. We were given the gift of being advanced creatures by God, let us take advantage of that. Plus I cannot resist KFC and Chinese buffets, they are too damn good...

Purebreds are too expensive to be wasted in the pot. Mutts taste the same and are much more readily available.

Ok. I am only guessing on the last part as I've never eaten dog but really it's no different than eating cow or chicken or pork.

Seems like a lot of people know the taste of puppys. And apparently it's bad. Okay, won't be rushing out to munch on one any time soon.

I have eaten a Dik Dik, which are almost as cute

In my defense I was almost literally starving after having been stuck in a jungle forthree months. I was sizing up the relative tenderness of my friends at this point.

Emma, I have to say that is a cute but very strange looking animal.
Er... Was it tasty? I suppose anything would be good after being that hungry...

Anyway, my dad is a mailman and hence isn't fond of dogs. If he hears one barking really loud, especially if it's at him, he'll get this glare on his face and say "Korean BBQ". It's rather amusing. Well, for folk like me and him who have that kind of sense of humor. I also thought his Halloween idea was funny but the people he worked with thought he was a sick bastard.
Oh, maybe I should explain that. He thought it would be hi-larious if on Halloween he answer the door in a white-trash outfit with a shotgun and whiskey bottle in his hands and yell "What do you want?!" and if they said "trick or treat" he'd give them five bucks.
I thought it was funny. Would be a good scary costume, if nothing else.

MMMMMM, fire-roasted vorpal bunny!

I've eaten rabbit (yum), alligator tail (tastes like chicken but has the texture of calimari, which I just can't get over); moose (major yummy), deer, and caribou.

Won't eat anything that looks like snot (snails, oysters) or might kill me first!

Snails taste like chewy rubber, but need plenty of garlic.

Deep-fried oysters with five-spice and honey sauce - very, very good.

Couldn't do the live ones, even with chili vinegar.

Also, not a fan of boiling lobsters. Much prefer the Ramsey approach (bigass knife through the back of the head.) Can do mussels though - they don't scream. (audibly.)

Never eaten frogs legs (and avoid veal) due to the cruelty involved. But I have eaten foie gras, and know that my karma is tarnished.

Have eaten alligator, but prefer other game. I make a good rabbit casserole.

Nooooo! You're not allowed to eat snakes! Puppies at a pinch, but not snakes!

I'm feeling particularly traumatised today. One of our chickens had a broken leg and I was given the task of putting it out of it's misery. Nervously, as I have only ever deliberatley killed one animal myself before (I once smacked a half-dead rat with a shovel), but determined to make a good job of it, I tried wringing it's neck. To my horror I succeeded in pulling it's head off. I then had to run after the wheezing and flapping headless corpse for about 5 minutes! Not fun!
Didn't eat it though. I would normally have used the meat (don't like waste, despite what my Mum says about it being horrible to eat something you've raised. I say at least I know it had a good life which is more than you can say for shop bought ones!) but it was all skinny and sick.

I suppose it could have been worse. Back in the 1940s there was a cockeral who lived for 18 months without a head. They fed it by pouring grain down it's neck. I find that very disturbing. Zombie chicken!!
