This doesn't have anything to do with you are a browncoat if but I had read on an earlier post someone refer to bread as a "pop" do you mean "pop" as in the porutgueese roll? I live in MA and am Portuguese myself and that's what we refer to those little rolls as. I wasn't sure if it was just a local thing (or a cultural thing) or if that's what everyone calls them. I used the term once in a class and got some strange looks. So yeah just wondering...

Worse though - an elderly Chinese woman came up to me and said something, that I can only assume was telling me off. I was just too proud of pronouncing it right to care though.

you now have converts, that have converts, that have converts.

you watch an awards show & keep expecting them to mention "Serenity"

you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that one of these days you will be sitting in a theatre watching some "movie" and then you see 9 familiar faces on the screen as you watch the trailer for the Serenity sequel.

(of course a true Browncoat will know about the trailer long before it is released, so by the time you see it in theatres you will have most likely seen it about a gazillion times. Why? Because..if you're a true Browncoat & the trailer is on line you will watch it over & over & over & over.... (you get the idea)

this all be true. I got a new office about two months ago with high walls. I printed almost every one of those "motivational" images and tacked them to my office wall. I took a jade plant that was half dead, nursed it back to health and call it Vera. I said to a client when asking about the plant, "yes, I call it Vera." with a big grin. I only refer cash as cashy money. When I order food for the sack lunches I give out to the homeless, I look for granola bars that have fruit in them and call them fruity oaty bars. During staff meetings when ask about my mood, I answer I'm shiny.

I have realized this is long, my sorries.

Whenever something goes wrong in my kitchen, I usually say Ai-yah tyen-ah, gorramit and rutting. I called my mother's boss a ruttin' idiot for destroying my well assembled coffee bar.

You refer to money as "coin". You slip the phrase "all manner of" into everyday sentences. Using "shiny" & cussin in Chinese is a given. Though some people think I'm praying in tongues. And to be honest......sometimes it's both.

You couldn't help but think of Firefly when Jack's crew on Pirates II mentions that they were hoping for something a bit more "shiny"

You make it a "before I die" goal to get to one of these big con's & meet all 9 BDH's & Joss As well as several of the Browncoats on FFF.net.

You have this great appreciation for Dr. Who #10 because he wears a BROWN overcoat.

You literally (this is true) clap out loud & cheer when Joss mentions in the commentary for the First Episode of Angel Season 5 that Jonathan Woodward is a hat trick having been in Buffy Angel & Firefly. Did I mention I was home by myself? Cheering & Clapping for the benefit of .....myself.....or maybe I was thinking Joss could hear me through the TV.

Anyway enough for now.
