CALLAHAN

Already posted in a couple threads, but I figured I might as well post a proper introduction.

Hey there fellow Browncoats, I'm Jesse, otherwise known as Callahan, or Cal, or whatever you'd like. =P

I've already posted how I got into Firefly/Serenity in the 'Have you earned a Browncoat?' thread, so no need to post that wall of text here.

I'm from Toronto, Canada, home to a whole bunch of other Browncoats (I hope). Favourite characters in the 'Verse are Jayne and Wash, hence the name. (Couldn't think of a good Wash name).

I've been reading the boards for a few months now, just lurking, never really adding in my two credits, until now. You can only read so much before feeling the need to contribute.

Anyway, this is just a hi to everyone, and hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more of me around these parts. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

well hello!!! it took me a while to post an opinion too, I always thought i never really had anything important to say but people post all kinds of crazy all the time so I figured I might as well join the fun too. Cool Jayne pic! He's definitely the character that I would most likely go to bed with. hahah... take care and i guess i'll see you on the boards.

Welcome Callahan!!

Nice to meet you! I understand about not being able to hold back. I think I lasted all of a couple of days.

Let me offer you a glass of Tullimore Dew in welcome.

How'd you fine Firefly? The movie? Friends? Did ya see it when it was on originally (Yeah, I know you're in Canada, but I also know US stations come in over there. Heck I'm in the US and watch TVO and CBC all the time. Okay, half the time )

No prob. At least you believe in formal introductions. I'm NVGHOSTRIDER. Post mostly on the Imponderable, TPBM, and Forsaken boards. Secretly I am also a huge fan of all the SHINY fanfic written by all the creative 'coats. I post while working as not to get all squishy in the brainpan.
WELCOME!
Sorry about the Canadian thing. Always give 13 crap about it. Makes for a good time.

As I posted in the other thread, I had heard about it during the original airings (yes, us Canadians do get FOX as a basic cable station), but not much about it, so I never looked into it. I got into it once the Serenity trailer was released. A bit of a latecomer, but that just means I have all the more fuel to last me til our BDHs come back. =D

Oh, and thanks for the compliment on the Jayne pic. Must have made close to 50 screencaps from the DVD to find the one I liked. Hahaha.

Callahan...there are no late comers here. Just new recruits. We're all just folk.

Welcome again!

BTW--TVO and CBC are basic cable here, too. I just refuse to play with the cable company.

HERA

Hey there Callahan, welcome aboard! It's always nice to meet folks from the expanse of land above the U.S. I'm sitting on the bottom here, in Texas. Um, literally, not figuratively.

I hung out in Cape Breton a few months back. Had myself a blast. Drank alot of Glen Breton Single Malt. *sigh*

YUM.

OK. Sorry. I digress. Look forward to seeing more of you about!

Best,
Hera

Egad. Canadians get everywhere. No matter how you try to defend against 'em. Some of them pretend to be American, you know...

Welcome. I'm a Brit. I'm rude to all Colonials. (In my defence I was once engaged to a Canadian. It was a strange and scarring experience...)

DONCOAT

Welcome, Callahan!

I see that FollowMal hasn't caught up with you yet, so let me offer you one of my patched-up, brushed-off, previously-loved browncoats from the repair shop. It won't fit like FM's, and definitely doesn't have that new-leather smell (don't ask!) but you're welcome to use it as long as you like.

Just drop it off in the storage locker when you've got your official coat, so the next new recruit can use it. I can generally correct for any wear and tear you put on it. Well, try not to bleed too much.

A good share of my relations hail from the Great White North, including a few around Toronto and others out west in Sask. I'm guessing some of the hides permaybehaps came from out that way.

FLORALBUNNY

Ahoy Callahan and Welcome Home. It's
right shiny to have you aboard this
vessel.

FM's real busy trying to get volunteers
in the HELP! thread (go look -- it's
about boosting and coordinating the signal)
and I'm not sure how much hanging out
she's doing among the threads looking
for new personnel.

The temporary coat looks shiny enough
for now.

How about some permanent strawberries,
not to be lent or dusted off or passed
along? Come on up to the galley where
your very own dish of berries sits waiting
alongside some of the finest food in the
'Verse!
