I Remember when Serenity first came to theaters. It was a triumph for browncoats everywhere. But, I did not get to see it, for the only theater within an hour of here didn't even keep it for more than a few days.

Now, that particular theater is closing up shop. It is going to be torn down and a new one will be built.

Yeah.

When I found out I wasn't going to get to see it in theaters I was crushed (I never get so emotional over a simple movie, but then Serenity isn't a simple movie is it?)

Is this a bit like 'Sliding Doors' only without Gwyneth...? You know - if they'd made the decision to keep it playing for ...say... another week would events have followed a different course that eventually allowed the cinema to stay open and become the most popular hangout for... oh, say... 100k's around??

Or do you think it might have closed down anyway... still without Gwyneth...?
