Hi, I had never heard of Firefly till a few days ago, I was immediately hooked and watched the whole series. Very great!

Sonny Rhode's opening theme song is awesome. What genre would that be, country western? Can anyone recommend any artists/albums with a similar sound?

I would say Americana. And while there are plenty that I would recommend, I would start with anything by The Jayhawks.
