I'm playing a game online and somebody in the chat said something that reminded me of Mal, our good ol' Captain. I was just going to smile to myself, but then I decided, why not point out the similarity? Well, (s)he had no idea who I was talking about. So, I asked if (s)he had ever seen Firefly or Serenity. (S)he hadn't, so I took the opportunity to suggest that (s)he rent it. I wound up having to agree to rent "Lost" in return... which I don't like, from what I've already seen of it (which wasn't much)... but, it's for the cause, right? lol

Anyway, my point is this: While you're working on the people you know in real life, talk to random people you don't know, too! It's kind of fun.

Well on an art site I go to called 2draw I recently replicated Jaynes pin-up shirt (digital art, it's in the Blue Sun Room) and described that it was a print on a shirt worn by a character named Jayne from my favorite Sci Fi show called Firefly, with a link to fff.net and the thread I found it in. I haven't exactly discussed it, but there is now a direct link to here so it may be someone seeing the picture and linking the ref will stick around and read what the shows about.
