Well, mine is probably either Jaynestown, Serenity, Our Mrs. Reynolds, Ariel, Trash, or Objects in Space.

If you forced my hand it would probably be Jaynestown, Ariel, or Objects in Space. Jaynestown is just hi-larious. Ariel is an awesome story, good acting, and also is funny. And Objects in Space is funny and an amazing story, good acting too. So yeah. There you go.

"Are you sayin' she's a witch?"
"Yes, Jayne. She's a witch! She's had congress with the Beast!"
"She's in Congress?"
"How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious."

"Gah! I didn't need to know that!"

"Zoe, you help Simon tie 5 or 6 of these bodies to the nose of our ship. Put Book front and center, he's our friend we oughta honor him. Kaylee, go find that kid who's takin' a dirt nap with baby Jesus. We'll need a hood ornament. JAYNE! Try not to steal too much of their shit, all right!"-- that was a blooper, where Nathan was just trying to be funny. That was never ever in meant to be in the movie, it was Nathan being Nathan. I hate it when people think that was actually scripted or something.

I have a tough time choosing between Out of Gas and Objects in Space. I just watched OoG the day before yesterday, so right now I feel like watching OiS, but I know that as soon as I do, I'd say that I'm missing OoG and that's my favorite. Yeah, don't think I'll ever decide.

Ariel and Shindig are probably my next favorites, followed by Serenity (the pilot), War Stories, and the Message. And I hate to say it, but Heart of Gold is probably my least favorite.

Out of Gas is probably my favorite, followed closely by the pilot Serenity and Objects in Space.

Of course, I love them all!

My favorites are Serenity, Out of Gas, Our Mrs. Reynolds, and Trash. (But I haven't seen the fourth disc yet.)

I loved the Saffron character; I was totally suprised in OMR when we learn she's not some naive and husband-devoted backwoods woman. Her reappearance in "Trash" was great, although now we knew not to trust her.

"Out of Gas" is great, if only for all the flashbacks - how Mal bought Serenity and chose everyone on the crew.

Out of Gas and safe. Out of Gas makes you love Mal. You see his determination to save his ship, his crew and his dreams. You also get a better feeling for how sad and broken he trully is. "Everyone dies alone." Rivers the one everyone knows is broken, out of Gas makes you realize that Mal trully is also.

Safe made me love River and Simon. It also makes us realize that Mal will always come for those who are HIS crew. Simon: "Why'd you come back for us?"
Mal: "Your on my crew."
Simon: "Yeah, but you don't even like me."
Mal: "Your on my crew. Why are we still talking about this?"

Jayne: "Testing, testing. Captain, can you hear me?"
Mal: "I'm standing right here."
Jayne: "You're coming through good and loud."
Mal: " 'Cause I'm standing right here."

Every single one is excellent, but my favorite is Objects in Space. Basically I just like the eps that focus on River.

Objects in Space, I think. I love when River says, "That's the popular theory." I dunno what it is. Just how normal she is for a second.

Otherwise, Out Of Gas. The last scene in that is classic.

I don't have a particular one, though I'm missing the third disk from the box series. Seem's someone decided they needed it more than I did, and just didn't pack it in the box. Yep, I got jipped.

"I'm confused, I'm angry, and I'm armed!!" Mal

i'd have to say out of gas, coz of that last scene where mal goes: 'y'all gonna be here when i wake up, right' always manages to bring a tear to my eye, (sniff)

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Oh man! Out of Gas, Jaynestown, Heart of Gold, Objects in Space, and Safe would be my favorites. My two least favorites would probably be Train Job and the Message. Even those are better than just about anything else I've seen on TV! And everything else is somewhere in the middle.

I already put Objects in Space down as my favorite, but I'm surprised that no one's really mentioned Ariel. That's my second favorite--came close to tying with OiS.

I would have to say that either Serenity (pilot) or Objects in space are the best ones...though it is hard to pick a favorite.

The great thing about Serenity is every episode is the best for a different reason. Serenity, Shindig, Our Mrs Reynolds, Jaynestown, Ariel, Out of Gas, War Stories, and Objects in Space are my favorites.

But I simply cannot narrow it down any further. I just like to sit down and watch all the episodes back to back. And after Objects in Space finishes, I always find myself muttering expletives about Fox for the next few days.

Every episode really is touching on some sort of emotional level. Be it humour, drama, suspense, the whole series is perfect and absolutely meaningful.

EDISON

Yeah, favorites are hard to qualify. On a laid-back week of vacation this month, my wife and I were introducing my mother to Firefly, who was watching it for the first time, and it got to be a joke how we'd introduce each episode with something like, "Oh, YEAH! THIS is our favorite episode!"

But if I had to choose one for the desert island (with the portable player and perpetual batteries), it would be Out of Gas. It pretty much has everything, and Mal's first look at Serenity seems to capture my feelings about the ship too. OoG was the episode that the crowd chose for viewing with live commentary from the cast at the Flanvention last December. That's a nice memory.

Episode I love Most: Objects in Space. I can't resist existentialism. This is River's episode and its beautiful, but it also has something of the best moments for all the other's too. Jayne sleeping through everything. Mal and Inara outside the infirmary. Kaylee and Simon, and then Jubal Early. Simon and Jubal. Wash and Zoe's soup talk... I love it so much. all of it.

Episode I think it best written: Ariel. There is not a dull moment in Ariel. It is a beautiful presentation.

Episode I love because I am a shipper: Heart of Gold. I am hopelessly devoted to Mal and Inara.

Honorable Mentions: Serenity (pilot), The Message, and Jaynestown

But if I can only pick one, then Objects in Space.
