Jeremy, you folks did an incredible job with this DVD. I'm about halfway through the "Interactive Timeline," and it's great. Who'd have thought an interactive timeline would be dramatic? I just listened to Tim Minear describe the irony of his last day of shooting on Firefly, and my chest got tight. Had to stop and post an appreciation. This was really worth the wait. Thanks!

A couple of days ago I was trying to figure out when I ordered the BD-DTI DVD and couldn't find a record of it. It was just before the first? deadline to get bonus DVDs of Firefly/Serenity panels from some of the 2003-2004 conventions. August 20? Does that sound right?

I just got a look at the DVD-ROM features. When I try to imagine the effort it took to put together the "Interactive Viewing Experience" that media-annotates the documentary, my brain locks up. Talk about passion on a grand scale. Thanks again, guys!

Unbe-ruttin'-lievable!

I'm not watching the whole thing until I can sit down with my wife (another FF fan) and watch it with her, but I'm having a hard time wating.

I received mine saturday and had ordered it in february.
The guys that put this together done an incredible job and getting to see how excited others are about the verse made me very proud to be a browncoat as well. I hope this makes it into the right hands because I believe it shows how much passion and dedication the browncoat army has and it could definitely help us get more of the verse that we all love, so thank you guys for representing us so well.

Got my sets yesterday. Having a BDD (Big Damn Documentary) party today so I busied myself watching the Convention panel discs to avoid immediately placing the movie into my DVD player. Come on 5:00!! By the way, reliving the "bird" salute to Nathan at DragonCon 2004 was preiceless.

I ordered mine right after DragonCon last year, Sept 6th maybe.

Hi all, I'm happy to hear you are enjoying the DVD.

Yeah, the stress of producing the "Interactive Viewing Experience" DVD-ROM feature pretty much shaved a year or two off our collective lives, glad you like it. :)

BSCPanotherfan: I'm sorry to hear that the DVD isn't playing in your DVD player. This is a fully loaded DVD-9. The industry average incompatibility between any given player and DVD is about 2-3%. Sounds like you may have gotten unlucky. If it doesn't work in your laptop let me know and we'll send out a replacement DVD.

FYI - Yes, there are 5 easter eggs, and they are VERY much worth finding! Here are the only clues I've given out so far:
1. A very knowlegable / well connected Browncoat can get this one.
2. Follow the white Thor...
3. Contra.

If you're still around, would you have any idea when the DVD might arrive to those who ordered it in Canada? Thanks. =D

International orders started going out on Friday and should all be in the mail by Tuesday, so depending on how slow the postal services are, you should be getting yours in a week or so.

Now I just got to hold off on waiting til it gets here. I could always watch the documentary you have so kindly provided us with, but I feel something of this magnitude deserves watching on the big screen.

Jutin- the australian dvd has different extras, and then there's the hd-dvd, then there's "mosquito" and the session 417 series- both of those are small and would probly burn onto a single dvd. THEN you'll own the complete set.

The Session 416 series is on Done The Impossible...

Anyone else having trouble running the IVEX? The documentary runs fine, but I can't use the interactive options, so I can't watch the full interviews. I'm guessing it's my ancient (3yr old) PC.

Otherwise, the documentary is great!!! Brings back a lot of memories...I've found two easter eggs so far, the "Contra" one and the "Karaoke" one. (hint, hint)

A three year old PC is certainly a bit under our minimum system requirements. We went all-out on the DVD-ROM on this one, and one of the prices paid was that it requires a fairly modern Mac or PC. There is also an incompatibility between some of the bonus videos and some PCs we ar researching it now, and as soon as we have a solution we'll release a patch on our website. Feel free to follow the support discussion on our offical message board at www.fireflymovie.com

Yeah, that's the thing that has us confused. Seems that about 25% of PCs have a problem with the extended interview videos, but we haven't found a common thread between the machines. Luckly one of our machines exibits the problem, so we are using that as a test machine to figure out the bug. Like I said, hopefully we'll have a patch in about a week.
