I’m an HBO fan… most of what I watch on the tube is from HBO. But, my favorite cable channel has recently been dethroned. Cinemax is now numero uno. And, yes, it’s all because of Serenity.

It was nice to flip through the channels and find the BDM on all last week. Looks like it will continue through the weekend as well.

Ok, so granted it may be sandwiched between The Best Sex Ever: Bump & Grind and Sex Games Cancun 13: When Cal met Mona, but it is there. And as far as those other programs… well, I’ll leave those to the discretion of the viewers.

Another thing, The Island premieres tonight on Cinemax. I, for one, really liked this movie. But I’ll watch just about anything that has Scarlett Johansson and Steve Buscemi in the cast.

So here’s to Cinemax… King of Cable – (at least as long as Serenity is playing).

Shepard used to tell me...can't do something smart, do something right.
I'm so into Firefly, my butt glows in the dark.

It's also getting some better air times too. It's now around noon east coast time. Right now I'm watching Mal and the Operative duke it out and the crew taking on the Reavers.

I just wish they had showed it in widescreen. IMHO a lot is lost in full screen.

Hopefully though it will get more people interested in the 'verse and Firefly so we at least get 2 more movies.

Oh no, Simon just got shot.

DAYVE,I'll dink a mudders milk in honor of the Cinemax decission to air the BDM. Bless them.

The Island was a very good show. Worth seeing by anyone that loves si/fi or just something different. Scarlett Johansson isn't hard on the eyes and I love most everything Buscemi does.

Hats off to Cinemax,Z

For what it's worth, since HBO and Cinemax are part of the same company, I'm guessing HBO will get Serenity around October or November. It generally takes 2 months or so for the stuff to flip from one to the other. So we'll get a whole new round of airings when it hits HBO. ;)

I also liked the Island, even though it appears to be heavily based on Logan's Run. Love Ewan!

I love The Island I thought it was one of the best movies I watched last year(War of the Worlds and Star WarsIII:ROTS were both big dissapointments and from two of the greatest directors ever).

And if you use Cinemax on Demand, you can
pick anytime you want to see Serenity between

Serenity Start Date 07-20-06 End Date 08-16-06

And they have Serenity Sub-Categoried as New Hits

Quote:

Category Movies
Sub-Category New Hits

http://www.cinemax.com/apps/hodschedule/cod50/details.do?FID=PMRS30457

So somebody must be Cinemax Demanding it.
