Since HEX20 beat my high score with 12 kills, I just had to spend the afternoon shooting down alliance skiffs (SaintJayne, if I get fired, it will be all your fault!!!)

Hint for aspiring gunners: aim for the center of the *smaller* circle

And Hex20, to do screenshots:
1. Hit print screen when ya get game over.
2. Paste file into favorite picture, paint, whatever program. If you can, chop image to be only the combat zone :) And perhaps, resize image to be smaller.
3. Find website to upload file to. Upload file ^_^
5... make moeny.

4. type the link to the image in your post. Yay, that's it.

Jaquile's got this thing mastered. You can do better, though. Heck, technically you have enough ammo for hundreds of kills =)

Keep your ability decrease bar high, that's an important part of conserving ammo.

The bar replenishes fully in 5 minutes. The trick is to not let it hit zero in the first place. You have to be careful with your shots (1 or 2 per skiff).

But where the heck is the fun in that? I like filling the early morning sky with hot lead!

Well, I'm getting better at hitting them with only one or two shots when they are flying relatively straight at me, but I still have trouble when they are flying across/up the screen (I either use up too much ammo and deplenish the ability bar too much or else I lose points by letting the skiff fly by):

Just missed that 100 mark. But boy, it gets narsty after 50 or 60 - they're all shooting from the moment they come up - and pulling single-shots with your targeting out ain't no milk run.

Weeelll, not been much action here, but it came up elsewhere, so I gave it another shot. First try I quit halfway through after my 5th desperate save from inaccuracy oblivion failed miserably (pretty proud of my clutch work on the first 4 though), but second try I had me some shiny re-beginners luck (well, 'cept for the first hundred rounds or so, where I was doing far too much double- and triple-shooting):

106. Triple digits ahoy! And yes, again, complete bar, plus a kill on my very last bullet.

Mebbe this absurd bump will renew interest in SaintJayne's excellent lil' game ( http://www.fireflyfans.net/feature.asp?f=51).

Heh, I swear, I get better at this game by not playing it. Showed it to some other folks today, pulled this:

on my first and only pass (first half of the game I played terribly though).
Full bar, and the last shot was a desperate one on a fast and high - actually crashed behind me, so no 'splosion visible.

Anyhow, you made any other games since this, SaintJayne? Firefly related or otherwise? If so I'd love to see 'em and spread 'em about. If not, you should make some, this one had great design.

Cool to see these boards are still alive, although I, being the bad fan that I am, have not checked in since my last post here . . .

I have a vast(ish) repetoire of Flash games. I do Flash for work, so I like to keep in shape by programming little games to teach me this or that.

I do have another Firefly game here:

It requires a decent CPU to run (efficient programming was not what I was practicing here :), so don't open the SWF in a large window. Enjoy!

Well, here's my unofficial high score:

I hit the last one but didn't wait for it to fall. So the total would've actually been 112.

Or... If I missed the last one, and if it passed by before the end of the game, then my score would've been 110.

But if I did miss it and it didn't pass by before the end, then the 111 stands. Though I should've waited to paste the screen capture into paint to see if at the end I ended up with 112...

But, whoa! Quite a fun game!
