second entrance to the bridge?

In "Our Mrs. Reynolds", Kaylee mentioned that YoSaffBridge fused BOTH entrances to the bridge. There are two doors in the entranceway leading up from the crew bunk corridor, but that doesn't seem right. Zoe is seen walking up from that mysterious area at the very nose of the ship (another thread), but an access point there would have to be a crawl space into a tube (perhaps a conduit housing electrical and plumbing pipes) past the bunk and under the deck plating of the corridor.

Thoughts?

There's a door to the left of the stairway (as viewed from the corridor) that I have always assumed to lead to that "mysterious" area at the nose. I figure it is just a storage area under the bridge that is accesible by ladder from the bridge, or by the hatch in the corridor.

The door in the sunken area in front of Wash's station? I think it's possibly the storge locker jayne refers to in OoG where the prepped space suit is.

Mind you, I do believe there is a hatch in that area leading to an underfloor conduit, which in turn leads to the gantries above the cargo hold.

Looking in the RPG book, there's a pretty good map of the whole ship. The door next to the bridge entrance is just a closet, but there is another closet beneath that one.

Was it in the movie that Kaylee threw Mal the tool to open up the ventilation? I'm having trouble remembering just what that was from... Wasn't he trying to get to the bridge there too?

I think that Jubal and Simon use the mysterious ladder in "Objects in Space" when they first go onto the bridge. Correct me if I am wrong.

You aren't wrong. Not to my knowledge. I just watched that ep.

That 'mysterious' ladder is simply one of Joss games. He never gives us all the info. I heard a bit about it in one of the commentaries... don't remember which. But it's just one of those Joss things. We may never know exactly what is down there by the nose and how there is a second entrance to the bridge.
