I thought 'Captain Tightpants' was too obvious, but it works for me. What's his first name? 'Tight'?

Brook, Stream, Ocean all sound good. I like the Babbling Brook idea.

I like KayBee and the KayBee Toys connection, it sounds good.

I always thought Inara sounds like 'In an hour' and relates to her chosen profession. Her name could be 'Inaminute'

Heres a thought. Instead of Reavers, how about 'Over Achievers'? It could be a ship of geeks that beat you to death with pocket protectors. That sounds scary to me!
