I caught one of the many re-runs of Angel floating in the TV world. Watched nearly the entire thing about some evil person and some plot to stop said evil person till the very end something caught my eye. There was this ballerina. She looked oddly familiar. Those big brown eyes…

It was Summer Glau…

You have to love Joss’s recycling of out beloved actors!

That indeed was Summer Glau. The Federal cop in the first episode was in Buffy and Angel as well (although I don't remember him in Angel, unless he was in season 4, which I haven't seen). One of the blue hands people was in Buffy and Angel as a member of the Watchers council.

The Alliance mole was in the early Angel episode "Bachelor Party", he was Doyle's ex's new fiance.

He was also in the buffy first ep of season three, "Anne".

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

If you watch the DVD's and listen to some of the commentaries, they talk about Joss Whedon's hat-trick actors, those who have appeared in all shows. One of the Men with Blue Hands was in fact one member of the three men sent in to extract the rogue slayer, which an early Wesley called in, he then appeared as the same person in Angel when they came for Faith for a second time and appealed to Wesley to help. This guy also appeared as a demon, the talky demon with 4 legs who was knitting all that magic without words, in one of the last episodes of series 4.

Another hat-trick person was of course Knox in Angel series 5, Tracy in the episode The Message, and he was first in Buffy Series 7, Conversations with Dead People as the vampire that gives Buffy relationship councilling before she stakes him.

There are a couple of others as well out there.

The only other hat trick was Andy Umberger (sp?). He played D'Hoffryn on "Buffy", the doctor with the removable body parts on an early episode of "Angel", and an Alliance commander on "Serenity". There are a few more actors who could be possible hat tricks. If Nathan Fillion or Franc Ross ever appeared on "Angel" they could grab that honour.
