DragonCon Is COMING!!!! A question

I've lurked for a long time, but after reading so much here, I decided to attend Dragon*con in Atlanta (It's just a coupla hours down the road)... It'll be my first convention.

I bought our tickets earlier this month from DragonCon, and got the little blue post cards with our Badge numbers on them 2 days later...

I called back the day after I paid for the DragonCon membership, and paid for two Awards banquet tickets.. I still haven't got anything from them about that (Except the charge to my bank account).. does any one know if those come separately, or if they are just tagged onto your badges at the door, or what?

I e-mailed them but haven't heard back, and want to make SURE we get into the banquet with no hassles..

Also.. what's the normal attire at the awards Banquet?

I'm not sure I can answer your question, but I will suggest that you check out DragonCon's LiveJournal page. Post there and you'll receive an answer toot-sweet. It's a great place to find stuff out. As to DC not replying to your email, they closed their offices on the 18th, to be reopened on the 5th. I assume this is because they're getting things ready at the various hotels.

You will have a blast at Dragon*Con, I'll always remember my first one fondly. Be sure to check out the SE Browncoats table to hook up with other Browncoats and as I'm sure you know, there will be two panels with the BDH's: Wash; Jayne; River. Adam Baldwin is also a can't miss this year as one of the celebrity autioneers at the charity auction and the Wash Wake instead of a Shindig should be a hoot.

Not sure about the banquet tickets (never been to that) but I think you get them with your badge.

When people pick up their badges alot are tagged with additional stuff (Staff, Guest, Handicapped access, Vendor, Parade, Press, etc.) it may be one of those things.

Thanks! Hopefully they'll let me know, but if not, I have my receipt and such, and it says to bring that with you... I should have asked them when I had them on the phone but I (ahem) ASSUMEd they'd just send them like they did the tickets.

BAD2VERSE

DragonCon Got back to me Via e-mail and said they had our Awards Banquet tickets attached to our Names and badge numbers in their records, and they would be attached to the badges when we picked them up at the door... We get to go to the "Short pre-registered line" (How come I doubt there will be ANY "Short lines"? ;)

Anyone know about Awards Banquet Attire? Is it "Come in Costume" (I don't plan on "Costuming" ;) or "Come as you are" or "Slacks and a shirt"?

You'll know me, I'll be the one in the Firefly T-shirt

Hmmmm.. After ALL of the above, today the nice Postlady brought me 2 blue tickets to the awards banquet... Now I just need to figure out what we're supposed to wear to the thing.
