Just read that Serenity is now being packaged in a Doom / Serenity boxset.

It's up for pre-order on Play.com at http://play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/1087465/Doom_Serenity/Product.html but I don't know why they're going together...

I actually bought Doom the other day because it was on the cheap and I haven't seen it but most people say its' not so good...so why is it going with Serenity? I didn't think they were that similar...all I can think of is Reavers = monsters = Doom.

Plus, is this a good thing? Branding our dear old little film with what I hear is a pooper? I wouldn't have said they're in the same league lol!

I suppose if it sells, it'll be worth it though...

Ick. Doom was a turkey, I don't know why they are being boxed together. That gives people who have never seen Serenity a really bad impression!

It takes all kinds to make the world go ‘round. Unfortunately, some are pedaling in the wrong direction...

It's unfortunate that such a sci fi wonder as Serenity is being boxed with Doom, though they did roughly the same numbers at the box office.

Doom had some good elements, the problem was it was dumbed down to be more marketable to a younger video game crowd. But, like a previous post stated, if it helps Serenity sell and open up some eyes to its wonder, then Godspeed.

Still, Doom seems like a better match than The Hulk, which was its previous companion.

--------------
Wash: Closing in.
Zoe: Planet's coming up a might fast.
Wash: That's just 'cause I'm goin' down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all.
Mal: Well, if that happens, let me know.

Thats how I got my copy of Serenity, and The Hulk.

But Doom? Well I can see that cause it's a better Sci-Fi combo.
