My beastie consumed a plate of lamb last night, then cried because I wouldn't give him any of my steak. (This was after two pouches of catfood and some tuna)

I posted another thingie in the recipe thread. You'll have to tell me if my measurements are too screwy, or my terminology odd.

Um...that would be a deal breaker for me. I would have to assume you have feelings for this person and I'd feel like I'm constantly competing with them. That just isn't something I'm interested in doing.

Whether you tell the new person or not, they'll probably find out eventually. So, really the question is are you trying to trick them into a short term relationship just so you can have some fun, or are you trying to find someone who likes you for who you really are?

Copilot- First BIG HUGS and such 'cause it's great to have you back. Now on to the "soul mate( the definition of which is the person you love and connect to more than anyone else in the world)" If that's your soulmate then it should be romantic and passionate. If it's you (please excuse the term) F*ck buddy then I wouldn't run around announcing it to the world and all, but if you get into a semi-serious relationship, I'd either ditch the friend with benefits or I'd tell the new relationship and let them decide if they're ok with that ( don't be surprised if they aren't ok an dleave though)HUGS again and I hope things are going well for you

Mornin' all. Slept wierd last night (Strange dreams and the like). Brain or God or whatever sent a beautiful young woman to cuddle with me during a bad time. So the dream was bad but I guess there was some posative reinforcement. I just don't understand it all just yet, but I'm tryin' real had to get in touch with my feelings. Stupid dreams.

As for the dating issue Copilot, I think you'd have to tell them eventually. Can't really hide the truth, especially if you live with those folks. Neccessary friends. I've had them. The few people who demonstrate some stability in your life no matter how strange other people may see it. Just be very careful. Your "target of affections" may not agree with the living situation and require some dedication strictly to them. I ain't sayin' to give up on the idea. By all means, go for it. Live in the now.

Seems I'm fallin' behind here. Still gotta create a crapload of vendor files and reorganize a buncha crap. But again my stupid brain can't seem to coordinate with the rest of me.
Guess it's time to get some work done.

Copilot - yes I would tell the person what the scoop was. Otherwise if you start to get serious and they find out it could really hurt all of you.

Well gotta cruz and get ready for a long night!

MSG: Great to know you had a good time at the Greek Festival - don cha just love that food! Was there dancing too?

Seryn! where have you been? Its good to have you back!

Oh Yeah, Seryn, spaceanjl, oddsbodkins and any other Uk-ers in the thread, please check out the "Calling all UK browncoats" in the new guerilla marketing board, thanks

What I find attractive is most definately black hair.. mmmm (natural, not died - cant be doing with died hair!), prefereably curly, oh and dark eyes. Muscles are a huge plus, though not two many. I like creativeness, independance and sensetiveness (woah, deja vu, have I told you this before?), and he has to be able to (purposely) make me laugh. thats very important, that and not doing drugs, smoking or drinking too much alcyhol. Also, I always go for the non-conventional hotness, every single time. Everybody else will be like: Wow, look at him, and I don't see it, and vice versa.
Recently I have found myself leaning towards the slightly geeky guys, (maybe thats because I am slightly geeky myself), but when i'm watching films, I always think that the computer whiz, or the genius is the nicest, like Seth Green in "The Italian Job," or David Krumholtz in "Numb3rs", and of course, Alan Tudyk in the BDM.

I can never understand why women would want ginormous fake breasts, they would just get in the way all the time. Says me with the flattest chest this side of puberty.

I totally believe men and women can just be friends, I have always been seen as a friend, not a girly, and it doesn't bother me at all, in fact, I probably have more male friends than female ones.

Ha! heard on the news this morning that parents should be teahing their children to drink alcohol properly, instead of binging. Hows about they tech them not to drink at all? Or is that just my crazy "Outside the box" thinking?

MisterG: love your signature! mine right now is my personal mantra: from the song "Adult Education" by Hall and Oates. If there isn't, I want my money back.

Ok, I managed to escape the front desk for a spell...let's see what kind of damage I can get done in here.

First off, welcome back, Copilot! We missed you around here! I agree with Magdalena on your current situation.

Politics. I have no feelings one way or another as regards to having an impact on relationships. Of course, as in religion, if the SO is too vocal in their beliefs, then there may be a problem. I am a firm believer (and I have stated it before) that politics and religion destory more friendships than just about anything else. I try to steer clear of extremes. I enjoy a good debate on either subject, but it remains just that...a debate.

I also wish I had slept with more of my friends when I had the chance...might start doing that pretty soon anyway! But I'd have to find them first, wouldn't I? Hmm...that may prove to be a problem. I haven't kept in touch with too many of them...

PR, thank you. I won't go off on my anti-bacterial rant. You seem to have nailed it in one.

Coffee good.

Ok, that's all the time I have right now...duty beckons!

Peace out, yo!

'Tis a curse bein' tall and dark. Lucky I ain't too handsome. Otherwise I don't know what I'd do. Examples:
Kid in a candy store
Dog in a forest
Woman in a shoe store
Aardvaark in an ant hill
Jayne in a whore house

Okay, the dog one seems a bit wrong. But some folks are in to that. Jayne in a whore house. Guess I didn't need to be that literal.

So my ex would tickle my ear with a lock of her hair when we'd cuddle. So sickeningly sweet. My teeth are hurting just thinking about it. I always liked playing with her hands. What else do y'all do when you cuddle. Just askin' because I must admit to it bein' one of my very favorite things in the whole frickin' 'verse.

What's the sayin'?

SBDB, in one of the great coincidences of life, my mother and I work for the same company. She is the receptionist, I am an Agent. Since we have a small office, we rotate receptionist duties weekly (the receptionist leaves early to take the mail; they may be out for a day, etc)...the receptionist desk is the "front" desk; the first thing people run into when they come in. My mother is out sick this week, and it just happens to be my turn up front...I think you can see where this is going...

Tristan- just think what a good son you're being...I always hate being the receptionist, however they won't let my brother do reception duty because he sounds ( not kidding) like a slower version of Keanu Reeves ( he's actually quite bright and in the top 5 of his engineering class)so maybe you could cultivate a bizzare accent or something and they wouldn't ask you to do receptio :)

I love the way the kids cuddle. PsychoBilly usually catches me layin' on my front writting. He'll lay on my back and give me a hug for five minutes or so. BabyV sits on my lap and leans into the pocket of my shoulder (Upper arm pit).
Human contact is so important. In a way I miss cuddling for more reason than one. There are so many forms of affection that one experiences everyday. But all seems so increasingly distant lately for no reason. Again, I'm just tryin' to understand my feelings. This is a good thing?

Tristan- I guess not, but sadly ,in my brother's case, that is actually how he speaks.

NV- Well you know they did a reaseach study in the 50's ( which wouldn't be allowed today to to the hideous level of cruelty) where in an orphanage in Russia they cuddled and played with 1/2 the babies and fed/diapered and ignored 1/2 the babies and the ones without human touch died...so it's definitely a survival need! ( by the way that study always depresses me so I'm sorry if I upset anyone bringing it up)

Now there is the one thing that I will sorely miss because I don't want children. The cuddling. When you're holding them and they put their head in the crook of your neck. It's so peaceful and you just know in that instant that all is right with the world.

Oh, wait...hold on. I am a confirmed baby hater. Um, yeah. Babies...suck. There is nothing good about the little yard apes.

There that's better. I've restored the balance.

As for SO's, I go weak when they brush the hair out of my eyes....

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Well now, James, just maybe you should move to the states You could always use the excuse of college.
I nuzzle a lot when I cuddle, assuming I'm not just resting against a nice solid shoulder/chest. I know it sounds weird, but I seem to have a lot of nerves right around my nose area, so nuzzling is one of the best feelings in the world. I also like to play with hair. Ex of Doom was not a very active cuddler, he'd mostly just hold me. I didn't mind so much, but I would like a more cuddly person in the future. Someone who will actually nuzzle me and play with my hair. Or stroke my back. Or something.
Ms G, I remember hearing about that study, but I thought it was that the children were rather stunted and sickly and died very young. I should look it up.
A study I heard of awhile ago is that touch releases a certain hormone or chemical in the body that nothing else really does. It's called oxytocin, which has been known as the 'maternal hormone' as well as the 'trust hormone'. They did a study of rats where they blocked the oxytocin in a mother rat and she ignored or even attacked her children. They did a study with people where they gave them simulated oxytocin and they were far more relaxed and trusting. I think everyone could stand to have a little more oxytocin.
