Edit: To answer the question now....

Could I stay with a bad kisser? Well that depends on how bad of a bad kisser. Are we talking accidentally biting and drawing blood? Cuase that could lead to some painful...(OK stop there to keep the PG rating) But As long as it is not painful I think I could deal with it. I might have to attempt to teach them the right way though how to approach the subject could be touchy.

If they're willin' to learn, stay in the relationship. But, if they think you're the bad kisser I guess you need to look at the whole thing mroe closely.

But this goes to the reason I don't kiss 'em on the mouth... Ummm, did I just channel Jayne? hehehe

I thought I was a good kisser until this one woman taught me a few things. I was surprized what you could do with a nose.

And you wonder why I don't post in these imponderables very much.

I'm turning all shades of red thinking about that woman now.

Coming from the "greener than your average grass" side of things, I probably AM the aforementioned bad kisser. What can I say, no relationships equals no practice.

Could I put up with it? Definitely. Kissing isn't everything. Hell, it's not even that important. It's the other touching which means something, and its on the whole a lot less unsanitary and less smelly.

Eh. I was given a lesson in humility today. I began my first physics lab, a course which I had studiously avoided all throughout high school and even several years into university. And appearantly with good reason. I was in there maybe fifteen minutes before my brain screamed out in panic and shut down.
Real shame, too, because there was a cute lass I would have liked to get to know better. Even more of a shame is that the trice I did manage to get out of her is that she's got a boyfriend in engineering. Gorramit, why do the cute ones always have to be taken when I find them?

I'm goin' back to my sulking corner. Forward my calls.

I agree, I think it really does depend on how bad of a kisser he is. I've kissed some not so impressive guys...and some on the other side of the coin as well.

I guess I'd try to steer them in the right direction, but I kissed one guy and it was like kissing a blowfish. All sorts of unsettling.

Yeah, it didn't last.

Keep the faith and spread the love. There are irons in the fire.

We're home! We're home! Praise be to the Haken!

I've been with some bad kissers, but then I didn't know any better. Maybe I still don't know any better, but I think I do.
I think that everyone has a different notion as to what is 'bad'. I can enjoy plenty different types of kissin', so long as there's not too much slobber or premature eagerness (tongue is good and all, just not right away, ya know?)
I would be happy to take lessons on kissin' so long as they were able to take lessons on touching.

Hmmm, good kissing gets you ready, and bad kisses make you want to run away. I've only known one bad kisser: teeth crashing together, yuck. When I mentioned that I didn't like it, he seemed shocked. Ooops, maybe some people do like the sound of teeth colliding. I had no interest in dating him, so a relationship never formed. I think I'd rather be at home alone watching Firefly than be out with someone who's a bad kisser.

Yeah - I actually did date a bad kisser... not very good in bed either so I'm suspecting the one indicates the other... I must say though that I taught him quite a bit in both departments! He did thank me for that once...

The Bastard!

Still... you live and learn... I don't regret anything I've done - these days I wish I'd kissed more guys I was crushing on and been with more friends who offered... I was just never sure of myself in those days...

Isn't it good to be back home? I love you all!

Mwaah - Magda x x x

P.S. James - you'll get there - you sound like the sweetest, most considerate and intelligent guy and some girl who is worthy of you will notice that and snap you up!

Traveler... when are you coming to Australia???

Tristan - welcome home Honey! We don't see enough of you here anymore!

WHITEFALL

Yah, I finally finally caught up. Sorry I had to forgoe my daily posting, I just got too busy. And this weekend is still sorta hectic with loose ends (SAT class, a senior pic, and homework)... and then i'll audition for the next show next week. But I dont mind the crazyness really.

The show went well. On the Wednesday, we got about half capacity (pretty bad for a room of only 70 seats), thursday we got about 65, so good, and then tonight, something like 80 (we had to have the tiny children sit in front like kindergarten, to make enough space. twas so cute!) So, we essentially sold out two out of the three nights. Not bad for our generation's (a high school generation being 4 years) first student run musical. (Actually, i know student run plays have been done in the farther past, I dont know if they ever did a musical. We're aweseom. ) The last night was great, no major mistakes or anything, and then, the party... Awesome party. People watched anime, so there was no booming rock initially. Then me and my beloved lighting designer/volleyballer friend got to the boombox first, and she put on some fun songs (a joke song about DnD, a cool circus of the dead sorta song, and some riverdance!). People tried to put on rap, we kicked em off. they went down the block to someone elses house, and me and lighting designer and lighting operator (a wonderful 5 foot lesbian sophomore who is possibly the cutest most wonderful person ever) just sat. Cause riverdance was exhausting. And it was so peaceful...

I understand why lightdes (to shorten her title) has such explicit opinions about love. She uses the term 'lurve', not to demean how we feel about each other, but to differentiate. Recently my spanish teacher told me that most other languages have different levels of the term 'love', but english sucks and has just one common one. Now, I said i was in love before, but perhaps lightdes is right, it's lurve, its not love, though its no less important.

So to answer the question I missed: yes, friendships with the opposite sex are not only possible, they're fantabulous. Maybe the fact that there are three of us (lightdes and lightop are inseperable) makes it easier, but dangit I lurve those two. And they lurve me. I'm happy now.

And now I need to sleep and get up in 5 y media hours for an SAT prep class. I'm missing strike, people kept telling me not only that I could skip strike cause i have so much crew time (the reason lightop and lightdes like me so much is partially due to the fact that, though i'm an actor, i have the utmost respect for techs so i help out), but that I should, the money and the whole "future" thing. Who am I to argue with peer pressure.

And now, do I lurve you guys or love ya? Bah, I dunno. Need sleep.

"But, these strong women characters?"

"Why aren't you asking 100 other guys why they don't write strong women characters?" -Joss Whedon.

Aww, JTD, poor thing, She clearly does not know what she's missing. I am finding the exact same thing with the guys here. the nice ones are always taken. The guy I kinda like at the moment is practically in love with my best friend - who can't stand him (he already asked her to the prom, for crying out loud!). uughh. Can I join you in the sulking corner?
Hang on, How weird is that, that me and PR both described you... Hey, PR, ya think we are subconciously reading eachother's minds, or both just have uniquely good taste?

Bad kissing: last guy i kissed (won't tell you how long ago, its too embarrasing)was like kissing a washing machine. Slobber everywere. eugh. needless to say, i ended that after about 5 seconds. Appartanly, he bit the last girl he kissed before me.

Whoo! congratulations Whitefall on your production! *gives standing ovation*

I am going to shoot the next person in my school who mentions the prom at school. No, I haven't got my dress yet, no, I haven't asked anyone yet, and NO!, I don't know how I will wear my hair, or what colour I will paint my nails! its nine months away! I might not even go, or if I do, I might just wear jeans and one of my Firefly t-shirts. that would be fun actually, see how everyone reacts, hhmm, interesting...

I tried to teach a guy how to kiss once - he did imporve - but I also tried to teach him a few... other things too... he wasn't a good scholar...

(not a word GPR!... Neko! )

Ok - here's another - or have we done this already - where do you like to be kissed?

I could stand to hear a little more...

me - down my neck, shoulders, inside arm, wrist, ear, eyelid, cleavage, stomache (just ever-so-lightly) inside ankle and... oh! Is that the time? I'd better go and... wash my hair... with cold water!

And young un's - never bite someone unless they've asked you to - and then do it ever so gently!!!

Alright, today cinched it. James' Sulking Corner and Gormet Coffee Shop is open to the public. Come for the sulking, stay for the caffeine.

Just got a letter from the RCMP, about my entrance exam. Turns out I got gonged from the process because I failed in one area out of nine. Memory. memory!! DAMN YOU BRAIN!

That means no RCMP for me within at least the next two years, and I won't even be allowed to take a retest for twelve months. There goes that little dream...

Anyway, pull up a chair, share a cup of tea, and sulk with me, brothers and sisters.

EDIT:
On the kissing where: Ain't ever been, so I can't voice a particular preference.
SBDB: The prom isn't everything, you know. My brother was miserable at his, and I would have been too, had I gone. High school was an extremely painful time for me, socially. I just contented myself going to a hot-tub party a friend-of-a-friend set up as the after thing. Nothing boils away social anxiety like scalding water, I tell you... Where was I going with this? Oh, right. Don't stress out. Remember that this is just a moment in time. There will be others like this, and if you put too much empasis on it, you'll only be setting yourself up for a huge disappointment when it doesn't reach your lofty expectations. So calm yourself, make sure you know WHY you're going, and if you can't answer that, make sure you want to go at all. The prom isn't for everyone. Sure as hell weren't for me.
And for the Yanks in the room, RCMP is Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

You will have to think about where else you can best employ and develop your talents Honey! This might be the start of something you hadn't thought about before - it just might be supposed to happen...

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I certainly enjoy being bitten, but not hard. Well, not hard until well into it, and then only in one place (right where the back of my neck joins my shoulder).
I actually made a little diagram of my body, with super-sentitive-be-very-gentle-unless-otherwise-instructed areas in blue, less-sensitive-bite-squeeze-suck-etc areas in red, and areas that build from one to the other (or are just medium sensitivity) in purple. Most of it was purple.
I have way, way too much time on my hands, I think. At least way too much time to think about this kind of thing...
*sulks with James and SBDB*
In answer to Magda's query, I would have to say most everywhere. Some spots should be focused on more than others. Aforementioned where neck joins shoulder, also collarbone, neck right under the jaw, behind the ears, small of the back, feet, hands, and probably several other O-spots that have not yet been discovered. Other spots that I just love: corner of eye, outer wrist, earlobe... A lot of places. Everywhere.
I have to say, SBDB, the prom was a huge letdown for me. I didn't go to my high school prom because I thought it would be lame. I went to a different, arty high school's prom with this girl I really liked because I thought it would be less lame, what with the artiness and the cute girl and all. I was wrong. It sucked. The music sucked and most of the night my 'date' was scurrying away from me like a frightened rabbit. And she asked me to go with her!
*tries to picture James in Mountie uniform*
Hard, since I have no picture. Have to say I've never been one of those girls who go for the uniform.
But I do love red.

hihi, sole's of the feet just makes me giggle, far too ticklish for to be an erogenous zone 8-)

as for a bad kisser, well, i'm of the school of thought that the kissing in a relaitionship improves over time as you get to know each other and each other's personal preferance's anyway's, so i'd be prepared to give the benefit of the doubt for a ways.

wow, that makes it sound like i'd be doing them a favour, i love how conceited i am sometimes xD

for the prom, well, we don't have prom's here, but we have leaver's dance's, good ecuse to wear a leather jacket with a kilt, the teachers go along, everyone get's very very drunk and the pretty but fluff-headed RME teacher makes passes at all the male pupils, it's a good laugh

and i was a social misit as well, it's possible to have fun even with lots of people you don't like or don't know there.

Let's see if I can get caught up here....

Kissing. Oh, mercy me! If done right it has the ability to put forth in one action all of the thoughts and feelings of one person to another. It can melt any ice, wipe away any tiredness, soreness, or hurt. It can scream "I love you" or whisper "I am yours". They can be like a sweet caress or a lusty grab, "make love to me" or "take me now!". I consider myself a well-versed kisser in general, and I thoroughly enjoy kissing for long periods of time. I have been with good kissers and bad kissers, and one...wow...actually sends tingles down my spine thinking about her...this one put all her ehart and soul into every kiss, even the "hello" and "goodbye" ones. Her lips, I do miss. *sigh* (Oh, no, it's not the 2nd ex, although she wasn't all that bad).
Now, moving on from the just the lips, I enjoy that, too. Traveler, I am also a fan of the nose!

Magdalena, Good teacher, eh?
Normally, my Lady, I would defend your honor...but in the case of flirting...I think I would have to agree with the peanut gallery. But that is why I love you!

Whitefall, Congrats! Sounds like the production went well. What's next in the works?

Hey, SBDB, are you going to Prom?
*ducks and runs away from her wrath*
Kidding...couldn't resist!

Oh, Magdalena, if this means what I think it means:
Quote:

I tried to teach a guy how to kiss once - he did improve - but I also tried to teach him a few... other things too... he wasn't a good scholar...

That is actually one of my strong suits...unfortunately it was wasted on the ex-WW...she didn't enjoy that...or any foreplay, actually.

My spot for kissing? Try my lips. That's the best way to get me going.

*looks around* Huh, seems I caught up with this thread! Shiny! Let's hope I stay caught up now!

Rose: Can't help you. I haven't had a picture taken of me showing more than a third of my face within the last four years. Add that to the fact that I ain't got access to a camera, and there you go. Just think of me as unpretty-yet-unhideous and you'll be closer than not to reality.

And this just must not be my week, because while I was cutting the lawn, the mower spat out a piece of concrete (To which I ponder What the hell was it doing in the back yard?!?) right into my right foot. Don't think it's broken but it hurts like all merry hell.

I'm going to have to do some expansions onto James' Sulking Corner and Gormet Coffee House...

Now, moving on from the just the lips, I enjoy that, too. Traveler, I am also a fan of the nose!

Hey all...sorry I was on babysitting duty today so that the beloved brother and his wife could get a bunch done in their new house ( as baby underfoot is tough, even tougher when that baby is danger boy. He is very smart, but has the common sense of a houseplant combined with a unique attraction to danger)

Anyway, all this talk of kissing ( WOW! Tristan) and all is making me glad it's extra cold today.

I am seriously watching what could be considered the worst movie ever made on sci fi. It's call Skeleton Man and it is insanely awful. The "evil force" is wearing a polyvinyl cape with fake fur, and a rubber skeleton mask so bad I recognized the manuafacturer( from my days working at the Costume Closet)as Rubies...it retails for $16.95 if you're interested...The acting is, sadly, worse and cheaper than the costumes and while I don't think Casper Van Diem is the greatest actor ever or anything, I do think even he could do better than this...hell I think a trained monkey without the training could do better.

What woman doesn't like foreplay? I officially don't understand her now. I mean, I didn't understand a few things before, but now I really just don't understand her. Gods, it takes quite a bit of foreplay to make me happy. Sex is good, but without lots of petting and foreplay and cuddling, it's like... like meat without any sauce. Or maybe even a bone without much meat. It's that whole intimacy thing that makes it work for me (and boy, does it ever work... Well, it did... Gonna go sulk in the coffee shop now)

Thank you, Magdalena!
*frantically looking for a flight or ship headed her way*

Howdy, MSG! Thanks for the "Wow", but doesn't everyone feel the same way about kissing anymore?

PR, ok...I do need to explain the foreplay thing a bit further...
She did like to be nuzzled, kissed, petted, etc, but nothing beyond that. I won't get into too many deatils, but I am a really big fan of foreplay. I know where my bedroom strengths are (at least, I hope two years of marriage has not caused me to lose them)...I do not have all that much stamina for the main event, if you know what I mean, but I was very good at the other. My idea of foreplay usually lasts one to two hours. The ex-WW was not an instigator of trysts...I can probably count on two hands the number of times she started something in two years of marriage. She was the one who expected to be turned on and catered to, and did not do much in return.
So, having said that...I, uh...hmm. Guess that covers it. I love foreplay and married someone who didn't.
