Browncoats I need your help.

My Cable company, Cablevision of NYC, has been sending a bad picture on several channels for over 2 months now. At first I thought it was just channel 4 (NBC), but when I saw that Serenity was on Cinemax and turned to watch it I saw the problem existed there too. Today when I tried to watch Serenity on HBO I saw it there as well.

I have verified that the problem is in the Bronx and in NJ as well. But Cablevision wants to focus on my house. With the problem showing up in other areas, I feel that focusing on my house will not solve anything.

The problem is that the picture will pause for a brief second. When it resumes, it goes to where it should be causing any movement to suddenly snap into place. This may be accompanied by pixelation, where the picture will breakup into litle boxes and then go back together. This can make it very uncomfortable to watch.

If you have Cablevision and want to see what the problem looks like, you can see an example by going to this link (If you don't have Cablevision, please don't go to this site. There is a bandwidth issue and having too many people go there will only make it worse)
http://63.212.165.50/~rh316/4.mpg

If you notice the problem on NBC, HBO, Cinemax, or any other channel, and want to help me solve this problem, please email me the following:

The channel you saw it on
The approximate date and time
The Cablevision franchise you have (its on your bill-Cablevision of _________)
Your zipcode
Your street and both cross streets
The make and model number of your cable box (should be listed on the front of the box)

I will pass this information to the person investigating this problem. Since I am not asking for your name or address, you should not be contacted.

Thanks Browncoats
