Actually I look nothing like Lydia anymore-although I lean to wearing black almost always.I've added some pinks & brown over the years.I'm 5"4, definately not petite though ,more soft round & curvy, long curly brown/auburn hair,blue eyes.

Anywho,-PR you've pretty much got the Pagan /Wiccan thing down.From my experience Wicca is an exact form of Paganism -following like you said-elaborate rituals.certain rules of heirarchy( hogh priestess &High Priest ) and so on,while plain old Pagans follow whatever we choose.I, like you find inspiration in different aspects of all polytheistic religions.Hell, I even celebrate Channukah.And have a X-mas tree for my Husband was raised Catholic.I always put a gigantic tinsel pentacle on the wall by the tree.And my stocking has pentacles all over it.

...hey you are not alone there!

I guess I 'see' you all as your pictures on the Avatar and then add the personality! I have had one 'drop-dead-gorgeous-male-model/actor/rock musician-boyfriend' but all the rest were fairly ordinary - even to the point that a few of my frineds were surprised at my choices (but then they were young and (IMO) fairly shallow)! I am always drawn to the personality of a person - and not just in a guy either - so I guess I don't think about what too many of you look like beyond the personality that comes accross in your posts!

The only exceptions are (perhaps) Phoenix Rose - coz she had that awesome photo of herself in flames as her signature when I first joined - though I thought she was probably older in Earth years coz of her warmth and wisdom! Tristan - coz of the 3 guys I know called Tristan the nicest was a midle-aged, academic-type Englishman, and California Kaylee - well she reminds me a lot of a friend of mine so I kind of gave her Kaylees complexion with my friend Fiona's looks! ... a lot of you totally confound me with ages though - I have never been good at telling age and that is perhaps because I have always had friends in the theatre of all ages - my close-knit-circle of friends right now range from 17 - almost 80 & I have a 'twin' cousin in the UK who is 35 years older than me - we are just so alike though - it's scary! My Dad & I often have worked together in the thatre so many of my parents friends are also my friends! I guess I am just blessed that way...

Oh & Penguin.... he really is a Penguin! He just needs really big keys on his special computer so that he can type with his cute little flipper-wings!

I think I finally answered that earlier question...

Long, fruitless day sewing is now behind me (see the Trading Post thread...)

CMH, I have studied classical, Norse, and Celtic gods, and do find them fascinating, but I do not believe in god or gods...I just have an interest in the history and belief of the Celtic culture specifcally. If I did follow any particular branch of Paganism, it would probably be the Celtic way. As for the Vikings...I am not sure if there are any on the boards, but it would be interesting to find someone who did hold those beliefs!

LA29, do you plan on channeling The Morrigan any time soon? *looking around nervously* A lawyer might be a better idea...

Magda! I am still trying to wrap my brain around the middle-aged Englishman thing...

Very cool to see that you're interested in Celtic history, too. I'm just getting into that after a long haul studying Japanese history and finding few people with similar interests. More specifically, I actually perticipate in a LARP, and am part of a small Celtic based group called "Caledonia". I'm sure you know all about that, but like I said, I'm just getting into it myself.

Well - there have already been bushfires in Australia and they are warning us that this might be one of the worst summers we've faced! Usually it takes months of hot, dry weather before the bush is tinder dry and catches alight - but here it is 3 weeks into Spring and there are already 7 homes destroyed near Sydney... and they try to tell us there is nosuch thing as global warming!!

So - what are we pondering?

Hey guys- wow I leave you alone for a few days and you go all speculative. In fact the reason for my absence was that it was the perfect "timing" for me to get pregnant this weekend so hopefully I will have good news shortly. I am not going to test to see if I am for 2 weeks though so I can prolong the suspense( just kidding) I want to make sure the test is accurate and if I am pregnant give the HGC hormone enough time to build up so the test can pick it up...it's so nice to be missed though:) Giggles
